    Alexmos help!

I know you are looking for some hands-on help, but @mediaguru is right. Some basic setup from YouTube will get you started while you wait to find someone locally. The key is to first get the camera and gimbal perfectly balanced. And I mean PERFECTLY balanced. Make aure the gimbal has no...

What's better... smaller & more or larger but fewer lipos?

Right. I was trying to be as clear as possible...and failed miserably :)

Which camera would this replace for you @Sleepy?

Glad you are making progress. Sometimes it takes a little bit to get it where you want it - but the patience will pay off. It's a great FC that should bring you hours of confident flight.

That makes sense. I have always used a technique that @kloner described to me early on, which is to get the MR hovering pretty steady a meter or two off the ground - and then climb out fairly rapidly while keeping an eye on it. Try to take note of whether there are oscillations in the pitch...

    AMA starts UAS4STEM program

Agreed. Getting the youngsters involved is not only a great way to expand the hobby, but get them interested in some skills that the average school curriculum may be lacking in. This seems like it should be good all around...

What's better... smaller & more or larger but fewer lipos?

Sorry, I should have been more clear. The total discharge does increase (because the capacity increases), but I meant that running 2 batteries in parallel doesn't increase the rate itself. So the 15C rating doesn't double to 30C. Running in series (vs parallel) would change this equation...

    AMA starts UAS4STEM program

If you're a member of the AMA (academy of model aeronautics) you've probably tracked the increasing acceptance and open-mindedness the organization has shown toward the newer "drone" technology. The AMA has provided a much-needed defense of our rights as hobbyist pilots - but in my personal...

    Some help for DIY project!

Welcome to Multirotorforums.com. It seems like your question would probably be best posted in the DIY electronics sub-forum. I'm definitely not a programmer, but off the top of my head I would suggest getting an APM based flight controller and telemetry kit. Or at very least - start your...

What's better... smaller & more or larger but fewer lipos?

Sorry to jump in, I know this was directed to @Bartman. To calculate the discharge capability of the battery you just multiply the discharge rate by the capacity. So in the case of the 16000mah Tattu above: (16A)*15C = 240A continuous. The discharge rate does not increase by running them...

    Hands-on with Sony a7RII

I'm nowhere near buying one of these - too rich for my blood (and purposes). :) I just thought some of you all might be interested in a hands-on impression. There is some decent hype surrounding this camera - and I find the discourse interesting, especially since this comes so close on the...

    Hands-on with Sony a7RII

With 4k video being all the rage, I've seen a lot of talk about the new Sony release - the a7RII. Thought some of you pros might be interested in this. B&H just published an article documenting the new camera, during a weekend long hands-on review. Check out the article HERE.

No one is challenging your supremacy. ;) I'm merely pointing out that tuning based on the mode that HE would be using most often might be helpful for HIS needs. I personally like the feel of the flight characteristics in Atti better than GPS mode (but SuperX GPS far better than Naza), but...

Probably makes the most sense to tune in the mode you'll fly most often in. I'm almost exclusively ATTI, so for me it made sense to concentrate on that. I think if you get it dialed in, it should work for any of the modes.

Yes, its another Tarot 680 PRO build

I knew that from your profile - which is super helpful BTW, and sadly underused. I use fly carbon here in the U.S. Good prices. Just make sure you check the thickness of the CF.

That doesn't sound like a great idea. Unfortunately I only know decent vendors in the states. Maybe hobby king has some local to you???
