These are the kind of things I do quite often. Everything is perfect....except that one little thing :) Let us know how you make out.

Oh good grief! They really went over the top with that PDB. Talk about a closed design :)

    First Quadcopter Build - QAV250

Very nice job! Love how neat you kept the build. Welcome to the forum. Seems like you're well on your way to the full-blown addiction :) Have fun and fly safe!

+1. The simplest solution and the straightest line is usually the best :)

Ah. Well one thing that is definitely going to throw things off is the gimbal is set up incorrectly. The roll boom (and the entire camera tray) should be 90* up from where it is now. :) Like this: http://rctimer.com/product-987.html

Based on the description - there is definitely something off on the roll balance. As Violet mentions, the camera should stay in in any position it's left in, not "returning to level after any disturbance."

I don't have the legacy - but one thing that I notice you mention is that the roll balance does not seem complete. Can you explain the procedure you did to balance the camera/gimbal?

For Broadcast video issues with Inspire 1 footage

Definitely seems to be avid issue, and you're obviously not alone - not that this fact helps you keep clients happy. :( Try the free download and see if a file output in the avid preferred format can help.

Convert my F450 into a Hexacopter

I would suggest going to ecalc and plugging in some numbers for various battery capacities and prop sizes and see what makes the most sense for your upgrade to 6 motors. Ecalc is not perfect - but it's helpful for honing in on a build.

Do you have any way to weigh the current setup with the camera and battery etc?

Convert my F450 into a Hexacopter

I'm not sure why the photos won't load. Flickr and the other sites usually give you a link to insert the photo directly into a post - direct link or something like that, then you don't need to use the forum uploader at all. But the shots on the flicker account are sadly - FAR cleaner than my...

Convert my F450 into a Hexacopter

The KV is a little misleading - it represents the amount of RPM gained for every volt given to the motor. The props you would choose would depend on the all-up weight (AUW) of the drone, including batteries and any payload (camera, gimbal, FPV gear etc). Also, it will depend on the batteries...

    Hi from Western NY

Welcome to Multirotorforums.com William! I am not familiar with that FC, but it looks really interesting. What type of drone are you using it in? Hopefully someone with some knowledge about this particular FC will chime in. You might be best posting a new thread with your specific question in...

For Broadcast video issues with Inspire 1 footage

Has the end-user not tried to convert the files already? I assumed they would have. There seems to be a free trial - give it a shot. Also, have you tried to do any quick edits in any program other than Avid to see if the issue follows the NLE? Just as a test?

    phantom vision 2 distance

If it's only on the distance, and not altitude, I would think a GPS cal could help. It definitely can't hurt. Good luck. Let us know how you make out.

    phantom vision 2 distance

My bad. I missed the altitude or distance. :) So the details on the iPad are indicating that your distance is at 500-700 feet. Not altitude, correct? Altitude seems roughly correct? If the distance is off, have you done the calibration for the GPS? An OSD is "on screen display." So if you're...

Convert my F450 into a Hexacopter

There shouldn't be any disadvantages to the hex - as long as you calculate the thrust from the additional motors. Make sure you account for that so you don't find yourself shooting into the sky because of too much power. You may need to buy different size props to compensate. The Naza lite...

Sorry, what's the distance you're speaking about? Are we talking on an osd?
