Awesome. Thanks for doing this and posting. Soo... are you thinking you'll just have a mix for your WKM mode switch that triggers the channel for the LED's as well so you can mirror what the WKM LED is showing? Or will there be some sort of tighter integration?

Thanks for your input guys. I'd take pics but I just put it all back together before I read this. I desoldered my ESCs and sent them to a US dealer, who returned them along with new replacement ESC's with a v4 stamp (replacing the v3 boards). So I have both sets. Soldered in the new ones myself...

Well that was a bummer. Just went to maiden the S800 after the ESC replacement and when I powered it up, one of the arms kept beeping after the startup beeps. Power cycled it. Same. Power cycled again. Same. Moved arm to another socket. Same arm still beeping, didn't matter which socket. Manual...

You live in the East Bay don't you? The entire Bay Area has to have insane amounts of RF pollution. I doubt that's your issue ... But could be.

Wanted a cheapo easy way to remove the compass/GPS mast and didn't want to drill the top plate since I like to keep things as non-permanent as possible when I can. Also like to not require tools for assembly. Just thought I'd share my solution. Parts needed: 4 x knurled M3 thumb nuts...

Just to update I got mine back today and just finished putting back in the arms. The surprise was they sent the originals back as well... so I guess I now have an emergency backup set if I want to do some more SMD soldering. =]

General wiring question to make sure I don't fry anything. I'm wiring up my S800 with WKM for separate gimbal control for a 2 operator setup. I'm using HiTec Optima 9 for the flight control, and thinking about using a cheapo OrangeRx for the gimbal control since I have a DX6i laying around...

Not to be a ****, but RTFM. It says in red notice section on page 21 to hit default after updates.

I was told yesterday that it would be Tuesday at the latest for the replacement to be complete for arms for those sent to Texas. They had to find a reputable electronics company in Austin to have the replacements done. My replacements are already on their way back as I just sent ESCs.

My S800 came directly from DJI and they told me to return the ESC's to a dealer in TX who said the turnaround would be 2-3 days... it's been 4. Was hoping to fly this thing for the first time this weekend since my Z15 arrives tomorrow! Ah well.

Ed, Did you send yours back to DJI directly or to a US dealer?
