WKM GPS/Compass removable mast option

Wanted a cheapo easy way to remove the compass/GPS mast and didn't want to drill the top plate since I like to keep things as non-permanent as possible when I can. Also like to not require tools for assembly. Just thought I'd share my solution.

Parts needed:
4 x knurled M3 thumb nuts (http://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/118/3209/=ifpsoa part number: 96445A330)
4 x M3x12 flathead bolts
4 x M3 nuts (or 8 if you don't want to go the thumb screw route)
scrap plastic or G10 or carbon sheet cut to 35mm square
double sided tape.

Pretty obvious to assemble. Just placed the mast holder down on the plastic, marked the holes and drilled them out then countersunk them. Then found center by drawing an x from each opposite hole and drilled hole so I could still access the center hub M2.5 bolt for taking the plates apart. Put the bolts in and secure with the nuts, then double side 3M tape to the top plate making sure it was all aligned properly. Now I can just remove the thumb screws and the mast slides off for travel.
