Don't know why I feel the need to get mixed up in this, but you are paying 2k for a frame... and ESCs... and Motors... and Props... with all wiring done, plug and play. Are there any comparable 800mm ARTF at that price? Not trying to be confrontational, I'm genuinely curious if there is anything...

Definitely setup the fail safe on your Rx. Set it to just below hover on throttle and center the right stick so If the Naza blinks out, the RX will still have the fail safe ability to slowly descend to the ground. Odds are slim but backup your backup ;-)

I have the flight modes on a three position and fail safe setup on a two position switch.... Just setup a p-mix with an unused aux channel -> channel you are using for mode switch, let's say it's aux1. So pmix aux5->aux1 and set the OST to 30% or so and set the switch to whichever two way switch...

Do you have video to prove that statement? If you can come close to direct drive motors with that setup I'd love to see it.

Good to know... Maybe it would take a 2S after all?.. But that potentially 8.4V... Just to note, the ImmersionRC 600mW Tx definitely supplies 5v out (I measured it at 4.9 ish) and 300mA max.

Anyone else care to chime in on what they are running on their S800? I think it might be time to pull mine out of the case and I need some power! What would the max weight for batteries be if the Zenmuse is 1.6KG with camera? I can't figure out the specs on the DJI site... is the Frame total...

No power specs means stick to what you know it can handle, which is 5v that would normally be supplied by the USB connection. If you go much over that then you risk blowing it out, but of you are willing to risk it go for it... I'm sure there's at least some leeway. That said, I'd wager a 3S...

I was hoping to try out the 13x6.5. Mario, the maker of the Flexacopter frame I have, uses them and seems to like them... actually I think he said he's using 13x6... don't know how much difference that would make. Hmm... lots of $ to plop on props hoping they work better than the 11x5 Graups...

What size Xoars are you using?

The heli toilet bowled at times... meaning it would fly a small circle around a center point when doing a position hold in GPS mode. Lowering my disturbed gain to 90% and lowering my Yaw gain seems to have cured it.

I finally got 5.08 dialed in today after much tweaking. It's now very stable in light wind, I have yet to try it in higher winds so grain of salt there. Yeah the "mandatory" manual settings are a puzzler eh? I don't get it. Can anyone explain why they would be mandatory? What is the performance hit if you us Auto anything? Weird and pushing me away faster and faster...
