Or your watching an ad..or news item...or tv series...and anything remotely resembling an aerial shot you always utter the words to everyone in the room "hey..thats a drone shot!"....then you rewind it to see the shot again hoping to spot a shadow or watermark to guess what/who there...
The case is a bonus, the radio is the treasure...Ive brought 2 from multiwiicopter and the cases did have a couple of small dings...however I didnt care as I brought the radio not the case if that makes sense? they clearly state the case is cosmetic and for shipping only
Video says it all....not sure what the point is but an awesome machine none the less!

I hear ya, often common sense comes either after you have an accident or after you have earnt/paid for something...its a case of your always a 'good driver' until you have an accident...thats why its called an accident
Im just keeping it real for every video on youtube there are 100's that are...
Lets add this to the drone fail vids!....Im guessing like all other fail videos on youtube people will always always do stupid things thats just human nature
I dont see the point getting all fussed about vids like this...in every aspect of recreation people get hurt, hurt others...drink and...
Go with the Tarot brand, so much easier to source spare parts vs boutique brands with only a handful of dealers as in the end if you cant get or have to wait or pay more for spares then its not a 'good frame' to begin with
If its the blue PDB one their site with the inbuilt BEC's you could always run some extra solder down each side if you want, dont forget to invest in a inline power meter to see what max amps its pulling under load....trust me this will be the 1st of many multirotors you will build so invest in one
Depends on how much current you are expecting to pull(get yourself a current meter), look at it this way, its like having a ferrari that can do 300km per hour but you only drive on the motorway at 100km per hour....so unless you are going to be maxing out/going full tilt/doing insane...
Went from futaba 10C to Frsky taranis, for the price there is NO competition, community driven support so you always have the latest software innovations if you want, the radio can do almost anything!
Cant we all just get along? :S.....Im in the electronic retail industry...aka gadgets and yeah there are alot of people here in Auckland that want to get up and about and fly a camera around.....if only there was a clear path in getting your 'wings' via the CAA...fingers crossed it gets clearer...
There more then what Id pay for....waiting for more competition to lower the price....they all look like the same design/build/out of the same factory
I too saw the post from a end user and have doubted its quality
Grab the Quanton board it runs taulabs (key developers who left Openpilot) which is easy breezy or you could go APM(larger learning curve vs Taulabs, although learnable)

More of a pain then an actual 'cost', Photographer can just sell a couple of pictures and all will be recovered....it would be like dropping a "cheaper lens" in his collection, awesome place to fly!
Im sorry, where is your proof? rather then base your ideas on theory show me the money!, Ive flown coaxial for years under load without having to think of 'thicker arms', never have had an arm or heard of a in flight failure of a boom
Or you can use a BTS555 Mosfet, I got 3 off ebay for $12 a few years back, got the idea from the mikrokopter guys

Its served you well, Like most of us....I started with computer PSU, then progressed to server PSU's for a 24 supply...now Im deep in the hobby I invested in a decent powersupply which I figure is going to last many many years of hard use
Id bin it and move on or fix(its simple as pie to solder...
