View attachment 17536View attachment 17537View attachment 17538I have two of these..... one lasted for about six months then the 12 VDC out failed, green LED switched to Yellow LED but the fan still runs......
Anyone know what the yellow LED indicates and how to fix it?:

sooo... I switched over to the other one which lasted about 3 weeks.... then there was a big bang!!!! Took it apart and did a continuity/ohm check on the fuse and sure enough it blew out...... but now the challenge is to unsolder it and solder in a new one..... anyone done this yet????

Note: Warning on the outside of PowerEdge states "Do not open - dangerous voltages".......
With card disconnected and key capacitors discharged by jumper.... it should be safe to do the fuse swap out..... but with one hand always behind my back etc....
or maybe I will just play it safe and toss it and then buy a proper 12 or 24 VDC power supply for LiPos....:black_eyed:

Any ideas?

Its served you well, Like most of us....I started with computer PSU, then progressed to server PSU's for a 24 supply...now Im deep in the hobby I invested in a decent powersupply which I figure is going to last many many years of hard use

Id bin it and move on or fix(its simple as pie to solder on a heavy fuse...heavy soldering iron...Id find out why it blew...as they blow for a reason!) and but still invest in a solid dedicated PSU, I have the Chargery S1500....solid as solid gets!

Thanks Koolkiwikat,

I'll chuck one, fix fuse in the other, and order a good power supply online....
Maybe the refused unit will keep me going until a good PSU arrives.
Fuse size hard to determine and it seems impossible to get under the PCB board to get at the fuse solder on points.....

I buy old used up ones of these and go through the instructions on creating a hobby power supply out of a dell server supply,,, it's not just plug and play...... ours run 2 in series to get 24v, i use it at 30 amp on the charger constantly and it's never even made a peep. my personal rig is a couple years old. kinda loud, but anything pumping power like that is going to be
