WTB - Hoverfly Pro black board

Let me know if you've got one (that works..!) that you don't want.

    Vulcan black widow X8 build

I think the difference between them is pretty even in terms of cost! Local suppliers here sell the 15" Tigers for $85 - $100 in pairs, the S1000's clock in at $125 for a complete set. When one of two props need replacing, the S1000 blades start to work out fairly economical. How do you find...

DJI folding prop tightness One thing that I have realised is that there is an easy way to tell if your folding props are at the right tightness -- after you spin the motors up and back down, the ones that are too loose (or tight I guess) aren't perfectly straight/normal to the motor. I'll try...

    Vulcan black widow X8 build

Thanks Moto. I agree with leaving the wires outside the arms. I'm already wondering about a 'flat-Z hex' setup - alternating flat and z arms - to use much bigger props. It'll be quite an undertaking to disassemble everything. I'll leave it for the moment and get some use out of it first. I'm...

    Vulcan black widow X8 build

Here's one of the motor first test. You can just see the orange tell-tale of the Naza on the 1st tier of stand-offs. This is the problem position - it's now mounted on the very top, where the Rx is in this photo. P.S. wiring is all over the place from modifying it mount the Naza, although I...

Alien craft is about right. Here's a picture of it before it decided to take up being an arborist.

    Vulcan black widow X8 build

Ok guys - very quick update tonight sorry. All the rest of my components finally arrived in 5 separate packages on Friday. I spent Saturday re-wiring, soldering, and bolting things together. The guys at Hoverfly sent me a replacement board. It seemed to work fine connected to USB. Then I made...

    KDE Motor beeping

Hi guys, My Hoverfly board has come in, and seems to be working well. But now I'm arming it to test, all my motors are beeping and the ESC's aren't giving their arming tone. They're KDE 35 / 4012's. When I plug the ESC's directly into the Rx, they arm correctly. But not when plugged into the...

    FrSky/Taranis Owners Thread

From memory you need to calibrate in the Naza assistant as well before arming the first time. Also check that your sticks are controlling the channels in the correct direction in the Naza Assistant, and reverse them if required.

    Hoverfly Hoverfly setup woes

Another update - the replacement board arrived today, and I've spent a bit of time tonight confirming that it all works. Plugged into the computer to run the setup, and it all connects instantly. Ran the self tests and the calibrations (except compass). All works excellently! But then, dun dun...

    Hexacrafter.com Contacting Hexacrafter

Hi guys, I've been trying to contact Andrew via the Hexacrafter email, but I'm getting delivery failure notices. Might be a DNS issue? Anyway, let me know how I can get hold of you!

Hexacrafter.com HexaCrafter & Kloner Built Release G2 Brushless Gimbal- Press Release

Hi Kloner, I just tried the email from the Hexacrafter website, but I get a bounce from the server. I'm using arsines AT hexacrafters.com (replace the AT of course). Do you know if this is still right?

Hi Kloner, what's the heaviest camera you've run with your gimbal? How would it cope with a D600 and FF lens - say 1.3kg?

KDE Direct has added Multi-Rotor Heli motors to their lineup

They look like the DJI S1000 blades, which I'm using too. They are 15" 5.2's. The folding blade makes them about as efficient as a very good 15" blade, but you have the advantage of folding (duh!) and smoother flights. There are a couple of carbon fibre blades with the same width and pitch, but...

KDE Direct has added Multi-Rotor Heli motors to their lineup

I'm also building an X8 with the 4014's and triple props. Hopefully remaining props and HFP flight control arrive this week, and I can give an update this weekend. Chris from KDE shared some footage from a triple prop machine he had when I was discussing my setup with them - it was...

    Phobotic Centerpiece Brushless Gimbal Controller

Fantastic that you're getting such good results with the RCTimer! That makes a pretty affordable gimbal system all up. Can you see any reason it wouldn't work with the AV200 IDD? I'm looking to keep weight down....
