Boris, I noticed a similar thing this weekend. I flew the Hexa for the first time and as ovdt said, you have to punch the throttle more than half was to get it off the ground, but as soon as it takes off, reduce throttle to mid stick and it hovers lovely. Gunter.

Dan, sorry, I must have missed your post! I ended up using these beasts...very nice indeed. Roy, I bought mine from aluminium warehouse, 3/4 inch x 18swg here. It's very cheap and also more than strong enough for the job.
