    Woohooo, it's almost done!

All I am waiting for now are the boom clamps, apparently coming on Tuesday/Wednesday. It looks like I might be able to fly it at the meet next weekend. A quick weigh-in says it's 3.7kg all up, including 2 batteries...is that good or bad? :) PS: it's a BEAST :) :)

    Wiring up WKM esc's

Thanks for the replies...I have actually just tried to pull the red wire out of the connector, and it comes out quite easily. I used a scalpel to lift the locking tab and the wire slides out. I will just do this to make sure it's okay. I then put heatshrink over the terminal. :) Another...

    Wiring up WKM esc's

Guys, I am busy wiring the WKM to the esc's. I read that the red esc wire needs to be removed...do I have to remove this, or will it work okay still connected? I'd rather no cut the wire if I don't need to. Thanks, Gunter.

UK / Europe MRF Community Meet

Matt, It does look like there are 4 of us going from the south, ovdt also needs a lift up. Will your jeep have enough space for 4 people plus gear? If not we can go in mine, with 4 people I can take out the back row of seats which makes a huge amount of space. Gunter.

Thoughts on making my power distribution

Thanks Bart, that's exactly what I had in mind. So it's just the negative loop that's open? Can the positive be left open as well? Would it do any harm? I'll post some pictures later tonight when I've had a crack at it!

    DJI wookong 64bit drivers....?

I have the same problem with my laptop - I eventually had to connect with my desktop. I emailed DJI asking for drivers last week, but still no reply! Gunter.

Thoughts on making my power distribution

Well, at the moment I have 10 gauge Turnigy silicone cable. I don't mind doing it with this instead of a board, due to the fact that I have already bought the cable, and I don't have space for the board! Dave has also suggested I leave the loop open, so that's what I will do... I will get the...

Thoughts on making my power distribution

I am busy making my power distribution ring from batteries to esc's. I plan to make it so that I can use either 1 or 2 batteries, so a parallel connection. I just don't know if I need to make an open ring, or closed. Should I make it like the diagram, or should I close the loop as I have shown...

    CS8 to X8 conversion - Herkules ESC III V3

No idea I'm afraid, I have never used Archicad. Have you tried opening the DXF file? Maybe Archicad doesn't do 3d drawings?

    CS8 to X8 conversion - Herkules ESC III V3

No Boris, that is powder coating (Pulverbeschichtung) Anodising is when the aluminium is dipped into a tank (Eloxieren)

    CS8 to X8 conversion - Herkules ESC III V3

I agree, just make sure when you get the heatsink made, that the aluminium is the correct grade to be anodised. Not all aluminium can be anodised.

    V6 and V8 Frame Designs

I think it's a very clever design for getting a good view from the camera, up and down. With regards to the patent, I'm sure you will be okay building something similar. I think they would be more concerned if a manufacturer stole their idea and started mass producing them, but for one person to...
