From my experience, the jello effect comes from the camera being too loose on it's mount, or the mount rubbers are too soft. Please post some pics of your gimbal and how you have mounted the cam to the heli. It can probably be caused if the props aren't balanced as well, and the whole craft...
I have been on the lookout for a GPS tracker which is lightweight and can be attached to a heli. This is in case your pride and joy should ever fly away into the distance and you can't get it back...it should be lightweight and you need to be able to use your iPhone and google maps to pinpoint...
I hate these little surprises you always have for us, it's killing me! Come on, spill the beans... :)
Is it something to do with the new airframe he got last week??
Gunter.
Woof! That looks pretty good. I don't suppose you've had a chance to test it in bright sunshine!
Thanks for posting my battery meter BTW, I got it today...it certainly is a must for safe flying :)
I'll second that. Always helpfull and replies to my emails any time of the day or night! He also sent me my new motors before I even payed for them :)

...and I'm bowled over! It flies so lovely and smooth, GPS works absolutely superb as does RTH. I knocked a stick by mistake, looked down, looked back up and it was 20 metres away! Just flipped RTH on and it got itsself up to 20m, flew back and started decsending...lovely.
Without my battery...
Rich, I swear by Sony Vegas It's very cheap (starting at £60), is easy to use and has loads of features. Download the free trial (fully functional for 30 days I think) and give it a blast.
Gunter.
Rich, when I first used the gopro under the Draganflyer I had loads of jello effect. As I mentioned in another post, I used a small battery on the camera mount to give it a bit more weight, which overcame the jello problem.
This might be unique for that camera mount, because it had 4 "O"...
After failsafe is initialised, it climbs to 20M, flys back to where it took off, waits 30 seconds and then auto lands. It sounds like yours is working, Just leave it a bit longer!
It's in the instruction manual.
Cheers,
Gunter.
I am planning another build for me and my daughter to fly. The aim is to build it on a lightweight folding frame so that it's easy to transport and it will take a gopro camera...ultimately for FPV flying :)
Frame: Folding 500 size frame from Quadcopters, 4 motors, 280 grams
