Mikrokopter New MK HiLander-26 landing gear is garbage!

I recently had a big crash and snapped two of my HiLanders so I had to order a couple of replacements. Apparently they changed them and boy do they suck! The new ones are so poorly manufactured that they all have to be drilled to allow the screws. Not worth it to save a couple micrograms...

Any Iftron Tx users here...I'm having some trouble with my FPV

I'm using a Mondo Stinger 5.8 500mW Tx to a Nano 5.8 receiver. I'm getting static so I know the receiver is working fine but nothing is being transmitted. I'm not sure how to set the channels so they match. I'm looking at this PDF...

Mikrokopter Camera mount servos worked fine and now...nothing

I just mounted my MD2 camera mount and the servos seemed to work fine at first though the mount was rolled up a bit to the right in neutral position so I turned it off and straightened the mount to a neutral position and when I started her back up the servos weren't working at all. When powered...

Mikrokopter solved... What's wrong with my Flight Control?

After a nice evening of flying I put my octo to bed. The next day I charged up the battery and took her out for a fly. ERROR: I turned on the Tx and the octo but the octo was beeping that there was no Tx. Back to the fixing lab. I plugged it into MK Tools and it says 'no receiver connection'...

    3D printers and Multi Rotor

I think there are great potential uses for 3D printers in building and maintaining our crafts. Does anyone have one? What are you using it for? From custom parts to replacement parts, I think at some point a 3D printer will be essential for the DIY hobbyist. Any thoughts on this?

Charging LiPo's with cigarette lighter sockets...possible?

I'm quickly learning that the science of charging LiPo's isn't as simple as I had first thought. I'm wondering if there is an adaptor available that can allow you to plug your charger into the cigarette lighter and get the 12V that way. I'm also wondering if one could use those rechargeable...

    My Newb Okto2 Build Thread

Hi all, Instead of blogging to an audience of none, I thought I would post my build blog here so I can share my trials and tribulations with the fine folks at MRF. Today I received my first package from Quadrocopter.us who have been great to deal with. Included was: Okto2 Basic set...

Mikrokopter Any experience (flight time, payload, stability) with ADX-3, ADX-4 or similar MK's?

Has anyone had any experience with the (for lack of a technical term) over/under motor/props like the Droidworx ADX-4 or ADX-3? How would they compare with having the motors all on separate arms? What would be the advantage? Disadvantage?

    Newb from Vancouver, BC

I'm going to be building an Okto2 and I'm very excited and a bit scared. I have no experience with soldering and I don't want to cook anything! If there is anyone in the Lower Mainland here that can solder, let me know. I can't wait to fly! (weather permitting of course, on the rainy west...

Panasonic GH2 HDMI out to transmitter. How is this done?

Newb question here. I will be building an Okto2 soon (Yaaaay!) and I'm wondering about connecting my camera to the FPV transmitter. If I can avoid getting a seperate FPV cam I would like to.
