Connecting the GoPro 4 Black for FPV

As previously mentioned, it has been found that there may be latency on the GP3 Black, I have never noticed visible lag on my GP1 nor GP2. Here is quite a clever little test done by MarkO and posted on RCG: Showing a GP1 with a fifteenth of a second lag. about half the lag stated for the GP3.

XAircraft Pimped my Xaircraft x650 v8 with Torxpower heavy lift motors and WKM etc

Yeah, I haven't given up on it yet, I have a savox 1258tg on the roll axis and the XA on the tilt. Have not really done too much with it in terms of video, a little testing just. its definitely smoother with the outputs from the HFP and I get a wide range of tilt angle also, which is much...

Connecting the GoPro 4 Black for FPV

Interesting note on that link nearly a sixth of a second latency. I wonder what it is on the GP2?

Finally I have a small quad that can record jello Free GoPro footage!

Congratulations, afraid I cant see your video, my connection is too slow. Trivial as it may sound to those who dont know the pain of Jello, its actually bloody awesome to get totally jello free with a gopro. I see a still of your video and see that the light is not great, it looks overcast from...

    Sony CX730/740/760 info centre

Interesting, Thanks for sharing that, definitely worth a closer look. Initial price £500, (actually available for preorder at amazon also). I'd lay odds on this dropping a fair bit once it becomes available. CX730 can now be bought for not too much more, so it would be a hard choice. Would be...

Best to do it outdoors, away from the electrical sources inside.

If there is a way, I've never sussed it. only been able to power by the battery.

Check out 'Naza Gouge' JG, its a good source of info for the Naza

Not too sure about that one JG. guess the Rx failsafe is overiding the Naza failsafe, perhaps Naza not recognizing the loss of signal to the Rx, try disabling the TX/Rx faisafe.

    Second flight...two problems

Yeah thats right, it should be checked 'come home and landing' and also if you want to be able to select RTH you need to adjust your channel5 (U) so the slider lands in the failsafe position instead of Manual.

Vertical gain is the amount of correction applied to maintain altitude hold, to low and it wont hold, too high and it will overcorrect, overshoot and oscillate

    Second flight...two problems

I like mine about about 50-60, its fairly loose, if it feels ok to you just leave it, or experiment with it.

To Coax or not to Coax

Not really. probably a little cheaper, as you have half the booms. Have a look at Vulcan Skyhook frames if you are undecided, as you can just change the configuration if you dont like what have initially built. I do also absolutely love my little X650 X8. all quiet and smooth and lovely. makes...

    Second flight...two problems

Yeah it just reads your input into port X1. you will have a 3 wire lead from your Rx going into port X1 and assigned AUX4 KNOB Just note of your current settings in case you want to revert, and adjust the vert gain (singular) only if thats all your having problems with

Aux 4 is the gimbal tilt control. yeah bump vert up, 10 or 20 a time, and see if things get better. If it starts oscillating up and down slowly you've gone too far, and just dial down a little till it stops leave your basics though.

Just out of interest, does it act the same in GPS and ATTI modes? Ground effect will play around with all helis or MR's. I can hover mine at 4ft push it down or up and it immediately return to datum I think z axis is set to -9

    Second flight...two problems

seems a little low, but I'm sure it would have been set up right if you got it RTF, just try and increase it a little see if gets any better. As for the hole I think I recall someone saying he had to make one, (which would explain why I cant find any). Atti gains should be fine, unless you find...
