    Second flight...two problems

JG, I dont think your vertical gain is high enough, I have mine at about 180 on a 450 quad. Also there are factors concerning the Naza barometer, light will affect it and also turbulence and variances in air pressure, its a good idea to secure some packing foam over the hole in the case. I...

    APC Thin experiences

I think the vibration isolation is very important on SR's, talking speculatively ie (out my arse): knowing what I have learnt from MR's and building and flying SR's just for fun flying, the idea of getting a heli's vibration down to that which it takes to get jello free video on my multi's seems...

To Coax or not to Coax

I flew my Hoverfly X650 V8 for its maiden flight with 7 motors running and I never knew it, I could see a delay in the motor and it seems a little slower but it was spinning of course, feathering in the wash of the prop above. It flew perfectly, next flight I was noticing the same so I thought...

New to NAZA - I'm very tenative about making computer adjustments

You dont really need to touch you radio, for adjusting your gains, you can ammend the settings you wish in naza assistant and click 'write' fly it, if you dont like and you want to go back to what you had before you can just load up the former coniguration that you saved. sometimes easier just...

New to NAZA - I'm very tenative about making computer adjustments

There is not too much to it really. what is you want to play about with. to be honest there isn't really that many options available with the Naza. you have basic gains and auto level gains. enhanced failsafe mode and flight mode options. and also intelligent orientation control modes. The Naza...

Graupners, they cost a little more, but its cheaper to just get them than buy and try a heap of other ones as you will end up with Graupners in the end :tennis:

Hi Hershey. Have a read of the Naza Manual and Naza gouge for a start, if you have any questions after that, you will get plenty help here.

Unable to stabilize my Cinestar gimbal with WKM

Sounds a bit crazy I know but I am stabilizing my cinestar with the Naza FC, as a temporary measure. Its not doing a very good job, I would be interested to see how you get on with the WKM Homer. The trouble I have is the visible lag in compensation starting and stopping. not sure what is going...

Chris Giatrakos from Greece, Aerial Photographer

Hi Chris, well thats us booked up for Kalavryta 3-10th March, for some much needed sun and snow hopefully. Staying in town at Filoxenia I think. Be good to grab a beer if your up that way. Going to take a F330 along with me, are they OK about flying on the hill?

    Which FC for my needs

Its worth keeping an eye on whats going on with Hoverfly GPS, There is a long thread on here about it, seems the issue was EM interference on the Mag. I am sure they are working round this problem now. Dont know if they can get it as good as DJI, who knows what their magic formula is! but it...

    Which FC for my needs

You summed it up pretty well. can't add too much that other than the fact that Naza will only handle 6 motors. I wouldnt agree that failure rate is high, well not in my experience anyway, I find them very reliable. As you say...Pos'n hold and alt hold is definitely the best I have seen, but...

With that payload and that amount of lift you are going to need more than an X650!

You should put the bigger props on the bottom. How did you lengthen your booms by the way? If you have a good budget and time constraints, get someone who really knows what they are doing to build it, talk over what you need, it will save you in the long run and it will work

surveilance? just go light small and maximise flight time. The coax V8 is well known to be less efficient than the flat X4. You may have compatability problems with the XA FC. If you do survielance you will needing a good GPS Pos'n hold. DJI is the only option there really.

my name is kamakazi...im a newbie and i dont know crap

Hi Kamakazi, IMO the X650 wont make a suitable frame for something with more bite, if by this, you mean more powerfull. The centre plates are quite small and wil not accomodate too much. I assume you want to carry a substantial payload. better to use a suitable frame and mounting arrangement. I...
