Hobby King X-Dart Quadcopter. Mode 1 to Mode 2 Hack.

I bought one of these cheapo X-Dart quads from HobbyKing($19) and didn't realize it was a Mode 1 (throttle on the right). Since I have no intention of learning Mode 1, I decided to tear the transmitter apart. The Mode 2(throttle on the left) hack was actually fairly easy. This does require some...

Changing the RX on the APM 2.5

Thank you for your reply. How do you get to the radio calibration screen without going through the setup steps?

Changing the RX on the APM 2.5

Hello, Quick question. My RX on my quad lost the AILE channel. I tested it with a servo to make sure, and it has a bad connection on the board. I tried to re-solder the pin, but I think it is a crack or something on the board. Anyway, I ordered a new RX. When I hook up the new RX, can i just bind...

Very light jitter effect on Gopro Gimbal/Martinez

Thank you for the input. Are the parameters you are referring to the PWM (max%) adjustment? I have been able to get a lot of the shakes out, but still have some. I have seen some extremely stable gopro gimbal video's. That is what I am trying for. Here is one of my latest test flights. Any...

Very light jitter effect on Gopro Gimbal/Martinez

That is a good idea. I will give it a shot. I previously had the gopro mounted on the middle of the frame, with a vibration dampener. It was very smooth, vibration free and no jello. This morning I tried again with no modifications to the rubber dampeners, and I changed some of the settings...

Very light jitter effect on Gopro Gimbal/Martinez

Great idea jes1111! I tried testing again last evening. I tried zipping a zip tie around each rubber grommet to stiffen it up. The results were about the same. I uploaded a video showing my issue. If you fast forward to about 20sec or so you can really see the shake on the horizon. I will try...

Very light jitter effect on Gopro Gimbal/Martinez

Ok, so my gimbal has 4 holes and 4 dampeners, so I can't add any. I shoved some high density foam inside the dampeners, and did a test. It really seemed to make a difference, although it was super windy. The dampeners I have are black. Any suggestion on where to get some stiffer ones? Are they a...

Very light jitter effect on Gopro Gimbal/Martinez

Hello, I have one of those el'cheapo gopro gimbals from goodluck buy, with a martinez board. I have spent numerous hours tuning, balancing etc. I have balanced props, and an extremely stable F550/DJI Naza setup. I am having a very annoying slight jitter problem when I fly. One thing to mention...

    MinimOSD with Leah-6H

I have a minimOSD and Leah-6H. I want to create a system with a dedicated GPS antenna for my OSD. Any suggestions or tutorials on this? I basically just want GPS coordinates and voltage displayed.

I need a simple OSD w/GPS and voltage display

Thanks for the awesome videos. I am using the Naza M v2. I have an arduino based OSD(MinimOSD), and am reading up on some hacks to use the Naza GPS. Has anyone tried this? Any success?

I need a simple OSD w/GPS and voltage display

I looked at that EZOSD, it looks really nice. I already have a tx and rx that works well, so I was kinda looking for something a bit simpler and less $$.

I need a simple OSD w/GPS and voltage display

I bought one of those cheapo HK osd's($24) It came with an old GPS antenna marked 7/27/2004... I got it to lock one time, and the coordinates were 10 miles away! Has anyone had any success using a better GPS on one of these? I tried a LEA-6H and I didn't have any success. Im wondering if the...

Naza m v2 Failsafe throttle setting.

Oh wow, great info. Does it matter how high the throttle is saved?

Naza m v2 Failsafe throttle setting.

I am just about done my F550 build. I have all the Failsafe functions, and switches working properly(according to the assistant program) I have seen some posts about programming the throttle 10-15% when it goes into Failsafe. Is this necessary? Any input would be appreciated.

    Failsafe on a NAZA M-v2 with a DX-7

YESSSS! The cheapo Hobby King Orange R710 rx works. When I turn it off, It will revert back to whatever switch settings I bound it on. My Spektrum satellite plugs right in and seems to work as well. I don't have much confidence in the cheap Hobby King stuff, but because of $$ I will give it a...

    Failsafe on a NAZA M-v2 with a DX-7

Ahh, ok. I have one of those HobbyKing orange receivers, and the specs on it state Smartsafe, and preset Failsafe. I will give that one a try to see what happens. I also read an old airplane forum with a similar concern. According to one poster, a new firmware update(from 2011, lol) is available...

    Failsafe on a NAZA M-v2 with a DX-7

Still scratching my head..I have followed the procedure a few times without success. When I turn the TX off, the Naza assistant software does not show Failsafe. But if I turn the TX off, unplug the battery then plug it back, the Naza shows Failsafe. Then if I turn the TX back on, the Naza...

    Failsafe on a NAZA M-v2 with a DX-7

Has anyone successfully been able to have the Naza programmed into failsafe with a Spektrum DX-7? I have the 3 position switch calibrated for manual, attitude and GPS. I tried setting a trim to Failsafe, and then rebinding the receiver. If I turn the transmitter off when it is plugged into the...
