fired it all up last night and the 2 esc's that blew smoke and got disconnected are still smoked and it broke a prop. I'll be taking back down and flying again shortly, guess we'll see the outcome. out of the 13 models on my wall, at least half have met the same fait, just part of flying...

Fatshark 5.8, hero2, immersion 5.8 600mw with rhcp and eagle tree osd pro. never had any junk till 1600-2000 feet, i'm just so unfamilliar with how much junk happens before it cuts off so was a bit hesitant to "push it" The latest pics of it are here...

Thanks, it has zeal tape and was jello free, but i tripped out and put a velcro strap around it last minute that let some in. kept dismounting the camera to charge so it kept getting the strap adjusted. see pics in my album here Had such a good time it was well worth the cost right there...

was down at the colorado river and went by a few friends places and snapped some shots. Overall it was fine, but i lvc'd into the water....... ooops. Can see where i need to time it better and plan being there at least a day to catch better light

when they talk about it messing with high frequency radio signals, does that include our fpv if were running 5.8? what about 2.4? dont understand how high a freq goes, but better to ask than find out i'm hours away from hero or zero myself

Tried 6 different mounting and locations. That setup is the only one that recorded jello free hero2 1080p narrow 90 deg fov. Everything else balked on anything higher than 760, and 760 was alright, not perfect. Mines laying on zeal tape, like a gyro even just the foot for gopro has the 3m 4010...

In setting up my fpv i took rcnuts advice and got my antenna up high enough and that made a big difference For current fpv gear i'd even look at there 960, that's the best mode for viewing through it

So far messing around with it at home i've seen as long as it's charged it hasn't failed. I feel like better quality and less chances of failing than say the $30 chineese cam that came with my fatshark system. Got that on a plane and the quality isn't near as good. I'm sure after a few crashes...

mines like this, there 12 volt led tape from ebay, chinnese except now i flipped over the back lights. Makes cool pictures at night too you can see how much the bottom lights were the visible ones in that pic. as soon as i moved the red down i was like why did that take so long to happen...

I've run there latest firmaware in a couple helis and a plank and the throttle response is way faster. Like the being able to program them in the pc than with a programmer card like the rest for multis, gonna have to keep an eye on how they do/fix for my next build

having a hard time with orientation? is it hard to see? if so, add some led, red seem like they show up light or dark, on blue sky, dark background, clouds......
