Does anyone have experience with this gimbal yet? I'm looking for a nice gimbal option for the new Blackmagic Micro that could also fly something up to the size of a GH4. The Defy G2X seems to be a solid option, but I have no experience with their products.

Is the Phantom 1 still officially out there? It's going for about $400 these days and is an excellent practice / first quad value.

I'm very enthused about this little camera, but no way would I trade my GH4 for it. Apart from size and weight the GH4 will dominate it in just about every way. It goes to 1080p 60 but you lose the global shutter over 30fps.

I would go with Canon to MFT, but the problem is finding light and wide glass. Like you say, great reviews (and definitely a nice option on the ground if you already have Canon lenses) but things get heavy fast going this route.
