    Connecting Power Leads to Battery?

I don't know, but it looks like the q-brain just needs a single power source. I would solder an XT60 plug to the q-brain and use an XT60 2-1 harness (easy to make one) to connect it and the NAZA pmu to the same battery. Or, if the wires are small enough, just solder the q-brain and the NAZA pmu...

DJI put me in business, and is taking me out...

Freedom works. A couple can hire a guy with a phantom or not, the people in the church are free to leave, the church is free to ban copters inside, etc. We have to separate what we believe to be good ideas (or even safe ideas) from the benefits of not interfering with freedom just to get people...

    Phantom 3

It seems it has the same camera as the inspire (in a different package), the same flight controller, the same app, and the same Lightbridge HD downlink. The difference is the craft itself (the Inspire is faster, bigger, with retracts), the gimbal (the Inspire has a second operator option with...

    Phantom 3

This should be interesting. The base model at $999 is offering copter, radio, HD video downlink, 3-axis gimbal, 1080p60, polished app that looks a lot like the Inspire, etc. http://www.dji.com/product/phantom-3

Zenmuse Z15 dual operator control with spektrum kit.

It's just that easy. The Z-15 inputs accept standard PWM control signals so just run channels out of your Spectrum receiver to the Zen and everything should work.

    4K Mirrorless Cameras Article

Sure, you can film 4K on a GH4, record internally, and then output 720p. Don't get me wrong -- the GH4's internally recorded 4K is great. But, unless you really plan on pan/zoom edits the internal 1080p is better for most purposes. You get double the bit rate at 1080p and that gives you eight...

DJI Naza M Lite Setup Confusion / Problems

You can't calibrate through the NAZA. Is your throttle reversed? In the NAZA assistant the bar should be at the left with throttle down and at the right with throttle up. Double check that the ESC control cables are plugged into the NAZA with the ground wire (brown or black) at the top. You...

DJI Naza M Lite Setup Confusion / Problems

Slow yellow LED means ATTI mode. Double flash when you move the sticks is normal. The NAZA seems to be fine. If you can't arm the motors something is up with the connection to the NAZA, ESCs, motors, power, etc. Check out the discussion in the NAZA/450 group build thread. There is a ton of...

    4K Mirrorless Cameras Article

Good stuff. Right now I see 4K as being solely useful for editing. The problem is getting good enough 4K to really zoom / track in post and end up with great 1080p. The GH4, for example, records 4K at 100Mbit/sec internally. That's just barely good enough for a heavy edit that uses 1080p...

I would love to do a comparison of this new CONNEX to my DJI Lightbridge to see how they vary in range, latency, etc.

    One beep from ESC

I assume the normal power up sound is different than what you are getting. If they beep (it's actually the motors that produce the sound) then you likely have solid connection to power and motors. Did you change battery voltage (and is the battery fully charged?). I would also look at the...

    Lacking LiPo Ninja status

As the name implies, XT60 connectors are designed for sustained current of 60 amps. They can handle well more than that for brief periods of time. As Bart asks, the key thing to know is your max current demand during sustained flight. If it is over 60 amps you probably want a different...

DJI Naza M Lite Setup Confusion / Problems

I will guess the model type is not correctly chosen in the NAZA assistant, the control cables are not connected to the NAZA, are connected upside down, or the prior manual calibration was not done correctly.

DJI Naza M Lite Setup Confusion / Problems

Great. Now confirm the sticks are setup correctly. As I mentioned earlier, you may need to reverse the throttle or other channels. Calibrate the sticks in the NAZA assistant and confirm up is up (right), left is left, etc. Once that is done and you disconnect the USB to the NAZA you can arm the...

Do you have a 3-position switch? Put it in the middle position, and make sure that switch is wired to the U port on the NAZA.

DJI Naza M Lite Setup Confusion / Problems

Just took a quick glance at the manual for your DX5E. I don't think you can make it work with a NAZA. Or, at minimum, you may have to give up some functionality. For example, you might find a way to leave U in the mid-point position and always fly in ATTI mode.
