DJI works on the proportional system as opposed to the slew mode. It looks like the way you have it set-up you are using proportional which is correct so I think the problem is with the pots. They could be slipping on the drive or they are damaged by over rotation. Looks like a nice camera mount...

It is hard to tell because the exposures are not the same for each comparison But the dynamic range of the Panny definitely seems better.
