What the DJI does with a direct drive servo is to increase the rez. by decreasing the m/s width to give you less travel volume the only way to increase that is to have a remote Pot. I think Gentles has something that may expand the pulse width!

Probably the fastest servo out there is the MKS HV787 and even that running in direct drive at 7.2 volts is not fast enough with the DJI standard camera outputs. To get the resolution they reduce the travel output pulse width so you don't get a full 120 deg . These things that run 5:1 gear...

I think the sluggish start up of the yaw axis was probably due to the fact that it was still calibrating as it picked up ok at the end.

Ken if your GPS has had a crash you need to send it back. I have one that got damaged and it will fly ok but not where you want it to go autonomously.

DJI have done their homework on that design. I know from experience that the imu has to be a stand alone device. When I tested dihedral thrust angles a while back I didn't like it but who knows what else they have done. It will become the one and only out of the box solution that works properly...

If I were you I would go and get a set of HiModel 40A. ESC's and a set of T-Motor 4008's. set timing to high or med. and it will work just fine. Cut down the 14x4.7 APC's to about 11.5 dia. D.

If the motors are starting to smell then they are already damaged. I would not trust those motors in the air.

I use wire dampers also just not so much of it.

The board is OK but his switch wont take it.
