So who else is using the 5.08 firmware? Maybe you all could sound off and let us know if you hare having issues with that release or not? I'm going to have to upgrade to it soon since I ordered a data link, so I'd love to document any problems ahead of time and maybe find workarounds/solutions...

So I was told by the folks at Fox Tech that DJI has in fact changed the pricing of the 2.4 data link. Has anyone in the US seen the price change? -Terry

Pligboot, I was in the same boat. I have to use Mac's for my job, but the MBP I was using for the copter was getting a good bit of age on it and the battery isn't holding a charge anymore. It has to be plugged in all the time, so it's really not a mobile computer any longer. Glad to hear that...

Kloner, how do you find the 1.3 stuff to work compared to the old 5.8 set up? Do you get any interference with the GPS? Great looking cannon btw!

I'm about to take this step also. Anyone know what the laptop requirements are for the needed software? I just picked up a small netbook to use solely for the copter. Do you think that will run everything ok? It's got a 1.6ghz processor and 1gig of ram that i'm upping to 3 this weekend. Thanks...

This just shows how much mark up they have in their products. It's starting to make me never want to buy anything from them out of fear that I'll be paying double what it's value will be shortly after I buy it. That said, I am glad that I didn't pull the trigger on one of these last week like...

The first video is hard mounted via a gimbal with 2 blown servos. I had it zip tied into place, but there was some foam used to isolate the vibes. The second video is just velcroed into place with a foam case.

This is a video I shot a couple months back now. I've since torn this x650 apart and moved everything over to an F550. I shot this one last fall at a park near our new place. They keep the lights on after dark during the fall, so I've usually got a place to fly after work. I've got to go...

It occurred to me last night that of all the time I've been flying FPV, I've never switched from channel 1 on my vtx/rx. Have any of you seen much of a difference in performance from changing the channel you use? Which channel do you use if not the default? -Terry
