I haven't installed one yet. I'm assuming it's like you said with parallel wiring. Sorry not more help. They suggest 4-6VDC. You can't run more than 2 LED's on 6 volts in series. They say you can run up to 5.
I was looking for a remote control board without the LED's. I found this board that they sell also. This way the strobing will be simultaneous on the two led's

Even the best tool won't work on crap hardware. Cheap threadlock on junk hardware can be a disaster. You are kind of stuck with the crap that was supplied with your frame. You may need more heat to make the threadlock give way. The aluminum is a great heatsink drawing the heat away from where...
You can mount them anywhere safe. I see a lot of them mounted on the arms between the main frame and the motor mount. Depending on how hot they run and how hard you push them, a location in the prop wash could be a good idea. I have mine mounted vertically with the wires coming out of the ends...
Nice Job the video looks great. I too have to work on slower maneuvering. I use a battery monitor like this. It beeps really loud when the battery gets low. Leaves you enough time to land.
I have had my scratchbuilt Quad about 6 months now and it's been great. It has just developed a bit of a Yaw glitch. Ever few seconds, not on regular intervals, It glitches in the yaw axis. The...
Here's a couple night videos I did tonight.
This one was my first night time flight with the camera. I was doing some light's on /off flying to make sure the lights didn't blind the camera. It worked fine either way.
I like flying at night. The lights make it much easier to see orientation...
Most of the time it's one of three things that I can think of.
1. props on wrong motor one or more.
2. motors spinning wrong direction ( swap two of the three wires on the problem motor.)
3. flight control board not faced forward.
If it's flipping take the props off. Then throttle back up a little and make sure that you had the props on correctly, and that the motors are spinning the correct direction. The air should be getting pushed down.
If the motors are not spinning the correct direction then you need to swap two...
Had a bad crash the other day caused by the lack of loctite on a motor. Ouch...75' tumble to the ground. Motorwires sheared flush with the can, receiver circuit board cracked and 4 props toast. So I decided on a complete tear down and check and re-locktite. Part way throug disassembly I thought...
Here's my maiden flight with my camera. I have been working on and flying my quad since February. I've got about 20 hours on the quad now and I crashed the other day requiring a new receiver, motor, and 4 props, and complete teardown. So I decided it was time to add a camera, since I had the...
