you have to use wvga or 960 mode to get the top/bottom filled. it is SD format. the 960 still records enough to make some good footage. The wvga is pretty low res format the narrow 1080 is still 16:9

if the esc's have a built in bec then yes. you can pull back the little clip on the connector and slide it out, i usually fold them back and heat shrink em in case i need it later....

mine does that when the tx isn't on and i plug in the 450 lipo, exact same sequence

when an esc sits there beeping, that means it was never armed. usually means it hasn't seen zero at the throttle. is there a throttle trim switch maybe not all the way down? Have you calibrated the esc's?

I've gotten this from arf motors but nothing as nice as what your talking should come that way. it either has too much preload set on the barrel/shaft or the bearing has a problem
