Completely agree. DJI owns the market. But they have one big weakness and that is quality of new offerings / support. The way to compete with them is to offer products that work, full-featured, from day 1, along with excellent support. Nothing out there is even close to a Phantom 3 when it comes...

Thanks! I just made that up. If the battery mAh is about equal to the current demand divided by 3.5 then the flight time is 60 / 3.5 = about 17+ minutes. Knock off a bit for not fully depleting the battery and you end up around 15 minutes flight time. This is 3.5C current demand, so just about...

I would add that the correct battery voltage for any rig carrying a gimbal and camera -- even just a gopro -- is almost always 6S. Maybe consider 4S for a 450 sized craft, but try coming up with a 6S build first and then see why 4S would be better (hint: it probably won't be). Forget 3S...

Just for reference, I have had my DJI Lightbridge out to 1km several times with clear signal. Never experienced a lost signal inside 1km. I know the products are not directly compatible.

Totally agree. I have a Hakko FX-888D and a Weller WESD51. Both are excellent and make soldering so much easier. If I had to pick one, I would probably take the Hakko, but it's close.

It looks like KDE will be offering their own props soon. I'm planning on using DJI 1552 props in a build with the KDE prop adaptors (same prop as on the DJI S1000/S900 -- very good prop, well priced).

I think there is a market for this, but it depends on your needs. For example, it's rated to 120C. That's impressive. But, at 120C the pack is depleted in 30 seconds -- by definition, a 15 minute flight pulls an average of 4C, a 10 minute flight 6C on average, etc. It's a rare AP application...

Try to isolate the problem. What happens if you swap motor connections to the NAZA? Does the problem move with the connection? If not, then you know the issue is within the NAZA. Otherwise, it's the wiring, ESC, or motor. Keep at it this way until you can isolate the issue. Always check power...

I would just buy a Phantom 3. If you are OK with the camera as your FPV source it's the best feature set for the money out there.

OK, so the back emf measure is, by definition, one that implies no load on the motor. So the applied voltage measure must be similar -- the rpm (1000s) per volt absent load. And, I guess this further means that the rpm/volt curve is linear or very near it.
