    Motor/prop/esc combination

Weight of your heli with full payload would be helpful. We really need more info to help. I fly 2826 with 14x6 props on my Octo with 60amp ESC on 5s / 11,000mah. No issues at all hovering at 50% with an AV200, 5d and prime 50mm. I think I could run 15" on this setup. It could easily handle 15"...

    F/S: Canon EF-S 10-22mm lens | m

I am selling my MINT condition Canon EFS 10-22mm USM lens. I purchased this to for a T2i but ended up not keeping the T2i and it won't work on my 5D. I kept thinking I would get another AP-C sensor camera, but it is not happening, so the lens has to go. I am going to list it on ebay, but...

    Picloc 3x setting experience etc.

He suggested to me to upgrade to an MKS BLS970 servo which is the same speed by spec, but much smoother and actually I think it is faster and is working very well. Easy Mod to 360. I also put one on tilt and moved the tilt servo to pan.

Basics of Setting up Eagletree elogger and OSD PRO on a multi-rotor

I just picked up an eagle tree elogger and OSD pro. I am setting it up on a FPV quad running on 4s. Can anyone point me in the right direction of the basics of setting this thing up on my multirotor? Any how-to's out there? First questions: These might seem supper basic, but I have not...

Hoverfly Today's excitement, Hoverfly PRO beta firmware first flights

Thanks for being a tested. Great to hear there is progress and an already good HFP is only getting better. I am definitely curious how my heli will handle the new GPS firmware. It will be a true test of progress. I have had very little luck with GPS in the past, even with the external Mag, but...

    restrictions about lipos?

I've had no issue carrying a 3 lipos bags packed with a couple dozen 4s and 5s batteries on flights as carry on. They did pull me asside to inspect, but let me through after a quick scan. Pack them like you care about safety. This has been for both US and international flights. I did get my...

    Hoverfly Futaba 8FG & HFP

I would go with something other than deans on your main power plug. Maybe ec5 or similar. For 8fg you have to go into the mixing settings to get a three way switch to work like a two way switch without the dead point in the center.

    Hoverfly Futaba 8FG & HFP

Send me a pm. I'll help you out if I have the time when you are ready to set up the radio. I am assuming this is an X8 configuration? EIther way, I have settings in my 8FG for quad, hexa, Y6, X8 and Octo. One thing you want to be careful of is making sure that if you use a 3 way switch for AL...

Motor Balancing Prior to Build (F550)

IF you want to balance prior to installing onto the 550, I would make yourself a testing stand. Something to mount the motor to so it does not move when you power it up. Then you can hook the esc to your motor wires and the battery with the esc servo lead plugged into the throttle channel on...

    Hoverfly GPS Twitches

Yours flies better than mine :shame: I have the External Mag modification and I still have horrible performance. I have smooth flight with Manual and AL modes, but as soon as I flip the switch to GPS, I have to pucker and hope for the best. It will twitch, fly off a few feet, correct itself...

    USA insurance

All the reasons to stick to a less expensive standard liability policy that will get you the job. I pay half the price of this policy for basically the same coverage IMO.

Hoverfly Power filter released the magic smoke.

I still have videos of the flip of death from back when the green board was released without the filter. Multiple rebuilds before installing the filter, no flips since. What size battery are you running with that filter. My hexa would twitch then rocket sideways (out of control until it hit...

    USA insurance

Maybe I am reading it wrong, but who is to judge in the long run? The insurance company of course, unless you have the funds to take them to court if they deny your claim. I did have a conversation and price quote last year from these guys. I never pulled the trigger but honestly I don;t know...

I have been dealing with shooting stills on my 5d via the video out and live view. When I trigger the camera, the screen goes black and then the live view returns. Sometimes I just want to keep the trigger firing, but then loose the live view until I stop triggering. Has anyone found a work...

    Photohigher skyline rsgs

You need to tune the pan with the gimbal elevated. Either attached to the multirotor which is suspended, or set something up where the gimbal is free to rotate, but the mounting system is fixed. This rotation is normal if you have the gimbal on the ground. You want to set up an aux switch so...
