    Mikrokopter MK or DJI....

Yuri I think you missed the point about "the model creates the movement" In this video by mitmit he clearly shows that he understands the right way to use a stabilised gimbal. Dimitri is making very slow and subtle camera moves that are hardly noticeable. The camera is taken on a journey to...

    S800 Arm's carbon fiber wrapped

As the Zen uses a standard WKM IMU for its basic stabilization what you say is totally incorrect. It has a second high sensitivity IMU that is placed on the final axis for the final part. The major part of the pointing is done with the same IMU as the model is using. That is easily proved by the...

    S800 Arm's carbon fiber wrapped

To give a better understanding of how much vibration can be attenuated with electronics consider a simple loud speaker. It has a voice coil which is basically a solenoid. It vibrates a disc against a magnet which creates sound waves which your ear drum detects and a vast range of frequencies can...

Zero UAV Zero UAV YS-X6 [Owners Thread] *Autopilot system for multirotors*

I think it is great to see a viable alternative. You could still use the Zenmuse with this, but you would need a WKM IMU also.

    Mikrokopter MK or DJI....

At the end of the day it is not about what might happen in the future but what IS happening now. https://vimeo.com/42166876 Clearly this FC is not anything special and the Gimbal IMU is not working at all well. Any similarity between what the PiP shows and the GoPro is purely coincidental. So...

    S800 with pneumatic retracts:

I guess you can start hose piping everything in sight now.... Full yaw with full gimbal ..... It should look really great. Give yourself a zoom button too really add some quality to it.:highly_amused:

    Mikrokopter MK or DJI....

3D I think with your experience you could consider something like a TDR or the new Trekker. The art in creating really good videos comes from the flying. The stabilized gimbal is there to help your creativeness, but it alone will not make you a pro operator. The more you use the gimbal the less...

GH3 concerning rumors whats what seems reasonable.

That top frame is not standard so it looks like DJI are already on the case.

    Dji F450--2900 ft--360 spin

Did you check anywhere to see if in fact you are violating controlled airspace. CHANCES ARE THAT YOU WERE. In some areas in the UK for example military jets are often operated at 250 ft and at 420 mph. in designated temporary routes to stay under the major airport TMA's.

    Mikrokopter MK or DJI....

It depends what you want to do. If it is AP there is only one choice for someone with your experience. Buy a DJI S800 with a Zenmuse and you will be far ahead of most of the people out there with this other stuff. Then you just need to put your effort into learning how to use it rather than...

    Z15 is incredible!

I get about 14 mins with a 11Amp MaxAmps lipo. I also rebalanced the gimbal to take the standard (Nex-7) Zoom 18-55. It is usually locked at 24 mm. But it can also work at 55 with a slight rebalance. I did once get a overheat message come up at the end of the flight which shut the camera down...

    Sony FS700

I have been running the S800 against the Henseliet TDRigid. In calm weather not much to choose, but as the wind gets up and when you want to go fast and cover a large area. The TDR is way ahead but it needs to be flown. I don't want to push the S800 too much as it is not mine. But out of the box...

    Has anyone noticed this

The DJI Naza has a feature which supports alt. hold which means it has a pressure sensor. So how come it does not have a hole in the MC unit to allow air pressure to enter the box of tricks. They say it is not a sealed unit. but in my experience it looks pretty sealed to me. Since I drilled a...

    Multirotor on BBC Newsnight

The only fear that people should rightly have is one of the danger aspect. Models crash every weekend at your local flying club. Full size aircraft also crash but not as often, but the survival instinct directs contact with cumula granite away from built up areas

    Multirotor on BBC Newsnight

When I first started out in the AP Business I had a few interesting experiences. One of my pictures of a small 9 hole golf course placed a child murderers van at the scene of the crime which resulted in a conviction. Then there was the time when I was out selling some speculative pictures and...

Zero UAV ZeroUAV aerial photography quad

Jeremy The .05 is a reference to the ADX620 gyros that reside in the WKM IMU they essentially limit the stick output to that angle. At 300 deg/sec they are virtually saturation proof. That is fine for any lens that you are likely to use. If you move the WKM IMU then it will also move the Zen so...

Zero UAV ZeroUAV aerial photography quad

I think I did that at least four years ahead of those guys. As a basic principle it is flawed without advanced electronics to help it. The beam disturbs the stabilization of the model if it moves more than a couple of degrees. Balanced beams are badly affected by wind as any steadicam operator...
