The whole assembly pictured in post #12 is about 600 grams. These are the extended version - taller than standard. The couch is from Urban Outfitters, and is also surprisingly light.

She mostly makes jewelry and custom printed goods - nothing scandalous ;-) We will shoot some video of the retracts soon.

It's this wild velvet sofa in my wife's studio. Picture doesn't do it justice. The landing gear are sturdy and well engineered. The servo is made by Spektrum and does the job well. I hope to have them flying soon.

I was waiting on the retracts, but good things come to those who wait. Now that I have them, I hope to get it flying soon.

The design is high quality. It should work very well. I'll share more when I've got them assembled and have used them in real world conditions.

Makes sense. We've used a quick release plate on our cameras before. I think we've used one manufactured by Manfrotto.
