Tau Labs OP CC for camera mount stabilization

Didnt have it on a machine as such, purely on a camera mount, had to trick it into thinking it was on a quad, by combining all input signals into one plug to the reciever, but apart from that was straight forward (if it dosent see the other channels such as throttle and flight mode, it...

Tau Labs OP CC for camera mount stabilization

Ok guys, have the answer. Tried the test version of the software for CC that has built in camera stabilistion ( i tried for ages to do it with the custom mixes and got no-where fast) The test software works well, has the ability to control roll/pitch and Yaw of a mount, with RC inputs to...

    Esc question...

152 watts per KG of thrust - perfect, those motors are a good combo, and with the 30amps ESC's lots of headroom. the one issue i see is with such huge thrust and a all up weight of 1.5kg, your prop speed will be too slow for efective yaw control, you will find it gets better as weigh aproaches 3kg

12" props, would be slightly more efficient, but not sure how well those motors will spin them, essentially you need 130-170 watts per kg that you want to hover (depends on efficiencies of the system) so the motors will still be working the same. I have some 12 inch props here, if i get a...

    Esc question...

Hi Gunter The ESC needs to be rated for a higher current than the motor will draw at full load, because even at part throttle the individul current spikes are still very high The best of the cheper ESC's are any based on the Hobbywing chip, as they give decent performance, and handle a 400hz...

motors out (blades angled in) so the prop wash dosent mix, and when in a fast sideways run, the tail dosent drop you wont be disapointed :)

    Alternative and/or cheap motor options

if the temperature gets over 80 deg C you can start getting into an area where the magnets start weakening, which will cause more heating What current are you putting into the motors ? For Cheap motors I use the RCT 2839-14 750 kv (smaller motor) on 4S with 10 by 4.5 props, they get mildly...
