    GH3 announced .... at a price ????

The shadow bounce/flicker is due to the fact that it is a really bumpy gravel road and the web video compression. Glad you dig the moves. Thanks!

    GH3 announced .... at a price ????

We gave our new GH3 a test flight, then shot some comparisons with our trusty old GH2. A complete review can be found on our site: http://www.yonderbluefilms.com/blog/2013/2/2/gh3-vs-gh2-video.html

    GH3 vs GH2 comparison VIDEO

We are using an HDMI converter. It works fine. You can turn overlays on or off. The settings stay set even with HDMI plugged in. We are happy with the results so far. We've got a detailed review on our site: http://www.yonderbluefilms.com/blog/2013/2/2/gh3-vs-gh2-video.html

    2 man flying techniques

Yup. I'm the pilot. Most of the popular systems offer the ability to keep the gimbal pointed in a direction despite the rotation of the copter (only panning when the camera operator wants it to). Hoverfly Gimbal, Radian, Skyline - I'm pretty sure all three offer it. I haven't really used that...

I don't use yaw during a shot. Although some of the gimbal stabilization systems allow for and can compensate for that.

Hoverfly HFP - Weird Power Up Behaviour

Dip switch position doesn't matter for flight in my experience. I'd flash it and calibrate again. Also, what ESCs are you using?

One of our best so far... Dewees Island highlight reel

I really appreciate that. I'm a big fan of the Kopterworx builds - I watch all of your videos. You guys are true innovators and continue to push this industry forward.

    Hoverfly Be still?

I'd hate to be leaning over a copter that is armed as I plug in a battery.

Aeronavics / Droidworx DroidWorx Retractable Landing Gear

You could also get an adapter from Allied Drones and just attache a CS gimbal to your Droidworx and use the CS landing gear - they rotate with the gimbal.

    Hoverfly Be still?

Now that is smart thinking. Edit: Just thought about it, and I think you'd still be in danger as you plug in the battery to the motors because the FC would be armed at the time. It's Friday and it has been a LONG week, so maybe I'm off on this one.

Wow, I know looks aren't everything, but DANG that thing is sharp. Very cool looking build!

Thanks guys. Glad you like it. This is just the highlight reel. We hope to shoot some more in the summer, then put together a proper video.

One of our best so far... Dewees Island highlight reel

We're supposed to meet up with a BMCC owner next week to check the camera out. Images are awesome off that cam. How do you like the GH3? Our initial impressions are good - we just got one on Friday. Haven't flown it... yet.

No problem. Since our cameras are hacked, it allows for a bit more room to adjust things in post. For the most leeway in post, you've got to shoot on film or a camera like the Red Epic. I wish I could throw an Arri 235 or an Aaton Penelope on one of these things... Maybe one day.

One of our best so far... Dewees Island highlight reel

Jim, I'll let you in on a behind the scenes trick here. When we were grabbing those shots of Reggie with the net, we paused for a moment and hovered over a tree. This started to generate a lot of pollen from the tree and it looked like mist. So we kept hovering and used it to our advantage...
