    What's with the toilet bowl?

i still reckon you need to look at the mag, without that working 100% GPS wont work, as GPS can not tell the flight controller physically what direction your multi is pointing. if the mag is out it will try to reach the desired location, but be flying 5-10 degrees off, over shoot, try to...

    What's with the toilet bowl?

does it use a magnetometer ? if thats out by 5 deg it will cause circling (did on my ardupilot) as the multi trying to get back to the set location, will keep missing it

    bicopter experiment

Version 2 take the original idea, and mount on an epp wing from an edge540, idea was to progress towards being able to swap from hover to aerodynamic flight video done, un edited - you get all the failed launches (3) as well final landing smashed the left prop and right motor mount and tore...

Tau Labs A few questons about getting started

Congrates One isuue with the copter control is its main benifit - its very configurable, which can lead you down the wrong path and get very frustrated Simple things like mis-matched firmware and incorrect reciever signals can tie you in knots for days, but once its sorted it becomes easy I'm...

    bicopter experiment

this one wont make the transition, its more of a "lets give it a go - kiwi style" (using whatever junk is lying around) For transition, it needs wing area, and the CG at 20-30% of teh average chord, as well as the conditions for hovering met as well (vane position reltive to CG and in the...

    how windy is too windy?

for me too windy is when it stops being fun, and becomes a chore with lots of thrust and lots of control authority you can fly in some supprisingly bad conditions. 50kph/35mph is about my limit before its just pain to be flying, but i do prefer still to 10 kph for trying out manuvers and 10...
