The 9x will absolutely get the job done. They are light and cheap feeling, but they have a huge following and like kloner says - the TX/RX is the easiest thing to swap out. The money you save can go towards a bunch of props and better motors. http://openrcforums.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page
