    New tricopter for me

Ooooh, that body is sexaaay! Have you tried shorter arms? The big advantage in a tri is the yaw. Using a servo to tilt the motor rather than the opposing prop scheme all other multis use means it flies more like a heli or plane. You can get away with using all the same direction props as well...

    Small X8 build - 3d Printing Parts

A couple of tips for you, Boris. Always take the ABS off the tape while it's hot. Once it cools it's almost impossible. Heat the bed again if needed. Whenever possible, round off the bottom corners of the piece slightly. You'll never see it, but it makes it easier to get between the piece and...

    New Wing - TBS Caipirinha

This is where we differ. To me $300 is nowhere close to free, I can build 3 or 4 nice flying wings for that kind of money. :) Cutting EPP with a razor is about as easy as it gets for wing builds, I used to build with balsa and tissue. Although I can certainly see the value of RTF for some...

    New Wing - TBS Caipirinha

You really don't need to spend that much to get a decent park flyer. These guys are in Utah, and they fly these wings in combat so there's no doubt they know how to build for toughness. http://www.crashtesthobby.com/widowmaker-34.html...

I don't know - I did some preliminary experiments with it, but dropped it once I saw the brushless DD gimbal potential.

Looks good. I like how you used the GoPro clips for the GPS antenna - pretty slick!

    New Wing - TBS Caipirinha

Really? For a couple of hunks of EPP and other bits, the Assassin is a much better deal. But in my experience, you absolutely cannot beat a scratch built KF wing. Super stable, super simple, cheap enough you could build 10 of them from EPP for $100 and have money left over. I was amazed at how...

GoPro ISO - wire frame isolation for GoPro and other jello monsters.

The issue is the wire loops have to be loose enough to absorb vibrations, so it varies. Probably about an inch and a quarter is as low as you'll be able to get. Yep - the Barebak is designed just for that.
