Has DJI gone out of business ?

I will, I’ve got used to have something around which needs to be upgraded forever! So far it has changed from a useless unprofessional aerial photography MR to a half EVO thing! Very expensive and irritating evolution! Some upgrades are in negative direction! Like upgrading to IMU V2 and BT-LED...

    The DJI rant thread

I was not so lucky and gone through the entire package of try and error system of DJI from the earliest days the S800 was introduced. ESC, GPS, HTMI board, IOSD, Arms, IMU, Retracts, Damping kit.. I have been lucky enought to replace some above mentioned items twice! I have paid lots of money...

DJI Big SALE everywhere....??? Give-away party for a reason.....

MombasaFlash and ChrisViperM. I am glad you do your best to inform other people about what a disgraceful company is DJI. If I was good in English I would express myself about DJI exactly the same way as you do. There are probably thousands people like us who have been cheated by DJI but many of...

A big HURRAH for Secraft - a throughly honourable company

I did order some stuff from Secraft and transferred the money to their bank account. They did ship my order before the money appeared in their bank account. I like their attitude. It is wrong to compare Secraft with DJI when it comes to customer care. DJI folk are way uneducated in this regard.

How to Change DJI S800 With S800 Evo Arms

Thanks to DJI my soldering skills is getting better and better. I’ve done this before while replacing defective ESCs. Opposite to what DJI claimed S800 was a dangerous toy not a professional photography MR. It had some capabilities to be a professional MR after replacing esc, gps, arms, IMU and...

Mounting Z15 under the center of S800

Maybe this is the answer to my question. http://secraft.net/shop/step1.php?number=1365 Anyone has tried it on S800? Please share your experience.

S800, total weight 7kg, should I still use maxamps?

This was my solution http://www.maxamps.com/proddetail.php?prod=Lipo-10900-222-Pack&cat=363 They work great with full loaded S800. I am waiting to receive EVO arms and damping plate for IMU V2 to do the final test. So far I am happy that new packs handle the 7kg S800 without being warm and the...

Mounting Z15 under the center of S800

Has anyone who uses retractable landing gear tried to mount Z15 exactly under the center plate of S800? My experience with other multi rotors shows if I place the camera gimbal right under the bird exactly where the COG is and place the lipo pack over the bird exactly above the camera gimbal...

    Wookong IMU V2

Up to 6kg I had no problem to use IMU v1. But heavier than 6kg strange behaviors started. I have not tested the IMU v2 yet so I don’t know if there would be any difference. I guess IMU v2 + vibration absorber kit + EVO arms is the way to go for 7kg birds.

EZOSD Low voltage and pack capacity alarm setting

Maverick and Langdale Thank you for your comments. My post was more than a year old. Sorry I did not update it since then. As you mentioned I learned that EZOSD refers to consumed mah. Also 80% consumed was what I ment.

    The DJI rant thread

I have both XA and S800. As you mentioned XA frame is made for fun and hobby. I did also buy it for this purpose. I mounted 750kv T-Motor and 12*6 props on it and a simple gopro gimbal. Powered by 4s 6500mah maxamps pack and it is flying for more than one year three days a week and actually it...

    Wookong IMU V2

Not good news. It seems I should wait for IMU V3.

WKM S800 loses altitude when flying forward

Center plate should be upgraded because on the center plate there is a space with an arrow on it especially designed for IMU location. Now that IMU is gone and IMU V2 is going to be placed somewhere on the landing gear the original space of the IMU is useless. However this especial space of the...

Nicked a wire in the IMU cable

Don’t worry. It’ll work like new. It has happened to me (two wires) and I soldered them and it worked fine.

DJI Formally Releases S800 Vibration Absorber Kits & S800 EVO Frame Arm

Back to the topic, anyone knows where these ‘upgraded’ arms and ‘upgraded’ anti vibration kit are available to order? Unfortunately I have not much money left to invest on a real professional system from another company. I am addicted to ‘upgrade’ my S800. So if anyone knows where I can find...

DJI Formally Releases S800 Vibration Absorber Kits & S800 EVO Frame Arm

I did order S800 because it was clearly stated on the DJI web site and in the instruction manual that this bird falls under professional category of DJI products and it is designed for aerial photography and can handle up to 7kg weight. Z15 was designed for it which could carry NEX7. And guess...

    Configuring Wookong M (newbie)

I did send an upgrade request email to imu_upgrade@DJI-Innovations.com and asked them about the price. No response! Anyone knows about the price of the upgrade if I return my IMU back to them?

S800, total weight 7kg, should I still use maxamps?

2Ω/cell is very impressive. I do not fly more with my packs because the IR increased about 1ohm/cell after 8 minutes fly and that was only take off and hovering about 2 meters above the ground. By the way I read on the GensAce site that the Max Continuous Discharge for 10amps GensAce packs is...

S800, total weight 7kg, should I still use maxamps?

Mitsaras, what is the total weight of your setup? Mine is 7kg. I guess mine draws more than 47amps since the packs got warm during flight and the resistance of the packs has increased after flight.
