ATFlyer, I did have the same assumption as you before I did order maxamps 11000mah packs. But afterwards I learned that maxamps refers to true 40C rating on the packs as the peak, and not continuous draw. Continuous discharge rate of these packs are actually 5C.

Today I realized that I can’t measure the current while flying. I don’t have a current sensor. So I should just hope that the current consumption stays bellow 50amps. Anyone flying 7kg S800 powered by MAXAMPS 6S 11000mah? Any advice is appreciated.

I prefer to use my maxamps since I already have three of them. 11000mah 5c maxamps would provide 55 amps at most. I don’t know if 7kg S800 would draw more current than 55amps.

I have not hooked z15 and nex7 to my s800 yet. The main reason is that I do not want to invest (yet) for a second tx and rx to control the camera. I have only one channel left on my tx. Is it possible to somehow use this channel to set the z15 in fpv mode and just leave other functions out? I...

Sony ccd is replaced by goprohd2 and the gimbal. The rest of rig is the same. Total weight is 2450g now (hoping it is not too heavy). I have removed the cf plate under the VTX and VTX is closer to the GPS and RC TX now. I hope they won’t interfere. Pictures and test results will be added later.

One more thing. Don’t fly fpv alone for the first time. Let someone stand beside you and have eyesight on the bird and direct you while you fly.

I’ll take a picture of my setup tomorrow. Since I am using WKM flight control, I am not very much worried about losing 2.4 radio signal. The bird will come back to take off point if the radio signal is lost. I have tested it and it works.
