    DJI 18amp & 30amp ESC's

Dave, thats's brill...I'm sure that all will go OK. Judging from the other couple of posts here the DJI ESCs work OK with motors other than DJI which leads me to think that maybe what I've got is a single naff DJI ESC causing all the problems. What I've got to do now is somehow find out which...

    DJI 18amp & 30amp ESC's

Dave, in the absence of any info on them I've tried both ways (please excuse that expression) with the red wire connected and disconnected and, experienced exactly the same problems. I just considered there are people out there using the DJI ESCs with motors other than the DJI variety. I can't...

DJI 30A Opto ESCs and Axi 2814/22 motors

Boris, its good what bouncing around some ideas and thoughts does. There's loads of stuff in your post worthy of further exploration. The thoughts that are coming in to my mind is that the original problem was indeed the DJI ESCs and by replacing them with the Turnigy ESCs fixed it (it was...

DJI 30A Opto ESCs and Axi 2814/22 motors

Boris, thanks for those words of encouragement but it truly is becoming a PITA for me. However my electrical engineering background tells me to find the problem anf fix it...the stuff that tells me to be careful is how much more money am I going to spend to get this craft airborn to carry out...

DJI 30A Opto ESCs and Axi 2814/22 motors

It has taken me a few days but I checked (and double checked) everything in terms of sound connections, layout, set-up, etc., etc.. Prior to attempting to fly the craft again I built a small hash frame and fixed it to the landing gear as a way of providing a little more time for me to react...

DJI 30A Opto ESCs and Axi 2814/22 motors

Boris, thanks for that...I'm going to do that tonight...re-check everything as though it is a brand new install again...maybe it is something like I can't see the wood because of the tree. I can't fly it again until tomorrow and assuming the new props. turn up. If I* find nothing do you think it...

DJI 30A Opto ESCs and Axi 2814/22 motors

Boris, I have just installed a single 4S 5000mAh battery, set the Wookong-M assistant up for clibrated 16.8 Volts with a 1st level no-load for 13.8 Volts and a 0.2 Volts loss. The 2nd level I set up for a no-load value of 13.4 Volts and again with a loss of 0.2 Volts. Its total weight is 2780g...

DJI 30A Opto ESCs and Axi 2814/22 motors

Boris, unfortunately I never had a build thread to this project...it is just a 1001copters Alu framed Bagherra 600 frame with the undercarriage designed and built by Gunter. The rest of the craft is as I have informer earlier on. I'll take note of all the detail on tomorrow's outing and get back...

DJI 30A Opto ESCs and Axi 2814/22 motors

Boris, I'll do as you suggest and use just one of the 4S LipOs. I'm almost at the point though of putting the Turnigy ESCs back on just to see if it is anything to do with the DJI ESCs...but thats a longer job and will have to wait until tomorrow evening before I can get around to doing that but...

DJI 30A Opto ESCs and Axi 2814/22 motors

Boris, outside...crikey if I even turned on my quad inside my house my wife would divorce me.

DJI 30A Opto ESCs and Axi 2814/22 motors

Boris, the take-offs are eratic and unpredictable. Sometimes the craft just flips over to one side (and sometimes a prop or two breaks). On occasions when I have been successful in take off I can throttle up to a few metres and it initially stays put then starts to descend slowly, touches down...

DJI 30A Opto ESCs and Axi 2814/22 motors

Boris, I hear what you are suggesting...the weights that I gave earlier were total weights for 2 of each type of battery...ie..2P x 3S = 3135g. but I thought that with the 2P x 4S weighing in at 3355g. might be a bit difficult but just doable or am I looking at ecalc from a naff viewpoint (that...

    Boris, thin electric APC 13 X 6.5.

DJI 30A Opto ESCs and Axi 2814/22 motors

Sorry about the delayed response... Boris, the weights are when driven by 2 x 3S = 3135g. and when driven by 2 x 4S = 3355g. Mailman, I agree. Before the rebuild it lew OK with the Wookong-M, 3s or 4S and Turnigy Plush 30A ESCs. The items that are different now are the new undercarriage and DJI...

DJI 30A Opto ESCs and Axi 2814/22 motors

Has anyone out there had any experiences of using a combination of Wookong-M, DJI 30A Opto ESCs and Axi 2814/22 motors ? The reason that I ask is that after some waiting (due to other commiments) I finally got the quad re-build together again but using 4S batts. DJI 30A Optos and a new...

Aeroxcraft Quad-670 (for DJI) - Now on Sale

Hi, I have been messing about with MR stuff for the last 18 months or so and have purchased some really poor quality and expensive 'components' over this time but based upon what has been shown this far I can easily guess that for people that have no intention on filming a movie epic and prefer...

Ideal prop size/pitch on AXI 2814/22?

Hello, I successfully use 13x6.5 APCs with Axi 2814/22 on my quad. It is an ali based frame plus the Wookong bits and pieces and, with everything on board weighs just over 3K...this is largely because it is all driven by 2 x 5000mah 4s batteries. Have a look at...

    Wookong M waypoint

Gunter, I'm almost sure that I read somewhere in amongst all the DJI 'stuff' that it currently is 32 bit only.

I think it is not too much of a mockery. Translations and the consequential interpretations can be a royal pain in the a$$e, even at the best of times, but when we take time off to think a bit more about stuff it does make this forum an 'interesting' place to be involved with.
