Loctite anywhere near plastic propellers is definitely a bad idea! Some types of plastic will be more vulnerable than others, but I wouldn't risk experimentation - just say "No!"

Futaba T8FG Super has several three-position switches - you're spoiled for choice! And mine came bundled with a R6208 SBus Rx. The programming "wheel" is possibly not the most responsive device made, but programming for a multi is so simple anyway ;)

I've seen video of motor balancing being done with a small zip tie around the casing - find the position of least vibration then replace it with some tape. Haven't tried it myself.

As long as your props have a few centimetres clearance from the fuselage, making the arms any longer than that is just going to slow down the responses. I've not seen any evidence that over-sizing the arms improves anything - but I stand to be corrected.

Nah - I prefer the 24-105L any day. I have an old Nikon 28-70 on a D700 and I'm always trying to force the zoom ring past 70, so I went for the 24-105 for the Canons.
