Well ive finally solved the twitchyness and it was all down to......prop balancing! Im almost embarrassed to admit but i thought paying £20 for a pair of carbon fibre props would be balanced enough to fly without touching them. Ive never balanced props before and to be fair there wasnt that...

it is still twitchy when applying yaw but adding weight to it made a big improvement!

its hard to see some of the flashes because of iphone frame rate. also easier to see in full screen mode.

Uploading.... Ive just slowed down the video and its actually 5 not 4 flashes....deffo not 6 flashes. this hasnt happen before, i did try and fly but lost gps after about 30 seconds, not sure if this is connected or not!

Does anyone know what 4 purple flashes are? the sequence is 2 purple flashes telling me throttle is below 50% followed by 4 purple flashes? cannot find in the manual or on the net! cheers.

tried it..... connected iosd to the CAN-bus port first in line with the gps sensor and it worked, however i lost gps signal shortly afterwards and didnt regain. I landed and power cycled everything started again and everything is fine and working. maybe losing gps was a different matter.

wow...going to try this this afternoon, hope it works, these systems are bad enough to work out problems without manuals being written incorrectly!!

well.....Ive added weight and its deffo better, the throttle jump has stopped. it still doesnt fly correctly though, it feels unsafe, i have a dji f550 with naza v2 and this flys beautifully...very smooth confident but my octo just feels....i cant explain it lol..I dont trust it if you know...

I thought i'd get some practice flying in manual mode.. I have a octocopter and a f550 but they fly in manual mode differently! my f550....when i apply forward pitch gently on my transmitter and return to center the f550 carries on at the angle i pitched forward to so carries on flying...

throttle is at 50%, i know what you mean about adding weight but ive seen other machines like this flying fine unladen.

its not just a throttle jump though.....when hard yawing it acts unstable too. Ive spent more time o this than building the damn thing :dread:
