We haven't got an IR LED with ours...the LED we have should FLASH when the cam is in record mode..its just an indicator Iris. The DX6i has a 3 position switch on the top left from memory for idle up? Mind you we use a DX7 for the cam & copter. So to recap. Single white wire is zoom (use on...

I've come to the conclusion that the RSGS suffers with this problem:- http://www.phespirit.info/montypython/sounds/noise_02.wav

We use 1 switch for record off/on & the throttle for zoom. don't worry about the stills capture, its better to use a DSLR for stills than a video cam anyway! You should have 2 leads Iris, one sngle white which is the zoom...by the way, if the camera is zooming you can not start or stop the video...

You can set it up perfectly at home, 10 mins later its all to **** again. My advice for anyone thinking of the RSGS "DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY". HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...

Thanks Adrian, tried all that & still no go :( I'm sure my v1.2 must be wrong! I am running v1.2 but it says "Skyline software version 1.6.0.0" and on the same page (Firmware update) the restore defaults is grayed out..its still asking for a .phf file :( if you could let me have a copy of your...

Lovely Pete, I did have a look around your folders ;) I also saw a video on YT taken inside the Mossie, wicked views & sound ;) I must admit I'm a fast military jet man myself, but I do like the WW2 stuff, my late father would kick my butt for not paying more attention, he was a tail gunner in a...

No RX connected, it RSGS only. Now is it the RSGS or software thats at fault? I have been sat for the last 5 mins watchign the MONITOR screen on the rSGS software, the tray is perfectly level & the monitor screen shows the roll increasing all the time, even though the tray is NOT moving...so...

Its even slower in its response time! but it overshoots the level position & takes about 6 swings before it levels. You know those big boat rides you see at the fair, that wing back & forward...thats what mine does :( Ross

I have connected my servos back up now & just concentrating on one axis at a time. Starting with the tilt, its starting to slowly rock back & forth, quite slow but as I increase the gains it tilts further & further. The speed is very slow, if I tilt my octo forwards it takes just over a second...

So Photohigher, as you see dear Nic has been doing what someone from your company should be doing & for that reason I hope you donate something to his cause, I think that would be fair, I'm sure many members (your PAYING customers photohigher) would agree. I'm sure if they released a video like...

I must admit v 1.2.2 did seem far more reliable, but still had drift. I was just chatting about the temperature drift & was wondering if anyone is in a constant temperature...if they have to recalibrate every time before they fly? As for how far do I move the cam tray...I don't! I take off the...

One thing I've noticed about this thread is the distinct lack of RSGS suppliers on here!!!!!!!!!!! Even Cedric hardly posts any more & if it wasn't for Nic, half of us would have thrown it in the bin or worse by now. I've now spen well in excess of 10 hours on this RSGS, every time I turn it off...

I've just had a thought why this useless bit of kit might be so useless!!!!! The 2k2 resistor networks used on the servos fluctuate with temperature, could this be why so many are having problems with it returning to a level position? I think they have used 5% tolerance resistors...1% would be...
