I heard about the inspire ones yes. These lock down real nice. If you put a bit of tension on them they are hard to get off. If they are properly installed and tensioned there is no way I will have a failure in flight. I think there was 2 reported cases on the inspire. User error comes to mind.

$1200 is not much of a budget. The stuff adds up quickly. Does this $1200 include batteries, transmitter, flight control etc? If so, you are gonna have to use bottom of the barrel components or get really lucky and find used stuff cheap.

I've used castle creations exclusively on my new build. 6.5mm for battery wires. They also do a 4, 5.5 and 8mm. Just another option that doesn't get mentioned much and look to be high quality. Rated for crazy loads depending on the size you choose.
