DJI NAZA V2 with Turnigy 9x Transmitter - PROBLEMS & PROBLEMS

I just meant the actual landing. I feel most comfortable landing in ATTI for some reason. I know a lot of people use GPS for the landings. Just not my comfort zone. And I have the Taranis speaking to me for count down too. Priceless!

DJI NAZA V2 with Turnigy 9x Transmitter - PROBLEMS & PROBLEMS

+1. I typically never liftoff or land with GPS. Well, unless I forget :)

I also just read a post somewhere that mentions putting small vent holes and some type of gauze (used on oil rigs or some such). Prevents the flame from coming out but vents the gasses so it's not so pressurized when you finally open the lid. Maybe I'll put a couple small holes in mine. I have...

What did you do with your DJI Inspire 1 today?

Really? No one out there flying this thing? I'd have thought they'd be posting in droves :)

    Noob from Loveland CO

Welcome to MRF! This forum is a great resource for whatever you decide for your next build. Head over to the group build @Bartman did last year. Nice build, reasonably priced for the functionality. Have fun and fly safe.

DJI NAZA V2 with Turnigy 9x Transmitter - PROBLEMS & PROBLEMS

Make sure you check out the procedure for startup and wait a sufficient amount of time for the lights to change on LED. Taking off prematurely before GPS lock can be a bad scene :) Congrats! You're very close.

DJI NAZA V2 with Turnigy 9x Transmitter - PROBLEMS & PROBLEMS

I would suggest going back to the manual and checking the direction the motors are supposed to spin. Then with props off, within assistant you can do a motor test. That will tell which motors are going the correct/incorrect direction. For the ones that are incorrect, swap 2 of the 3 esc to motor...

DJI NAZA V2 with Turnigy 9x Transmitter - PROBLEMS & PROBLEMS

Have you moved any end points or sub trims since you did the esc/throttle cal? I would do this again after doing the assistant stick cal again. I know - total pain. But this seems to be a stick misalignment not telling the motors to arm. One thing you could try is to move the throttle...

DJI NAZA V2 with Turnigy 9x Transmitter - PROBLEMS & PROBLEMS

Are there trims on the outside of your radio? Physical switches that can be moved up and down next to each stick? If so, make sure those are centered (most radios have a different beep when centered). If those are centered - and all end points are centered in the software/LCD menu, do the...

I figure this things were meant for military ordinances. They should hold pretty well. :)

    Gimbal Test

If you're happy with your 450, you can always wait until some parts become available used. I've gotten some great deals here on the classifieds. Not sure how much they cost, but the new DJI propulsion systems look pretty slick.

I use bags and ammo cases as well. Keep them cool until I get to the field, so no vent holes. The lipo flame will hopefully starve without air.

    Gimbal Test

I still have my f450 for testing new FCs. I fly a Vulcan 900mm hex and a CineTank XL mostly now. Sounds like you could probably have a good time at that meetup regardless of whether you had a 250. I'm sure your 450 could hold its own :)

DJI NAZA V2 with Turnigy 9x Transmitter - PROBLEMS & PROBLEMS

There seems to have been no clarification of whether the sub-trims have been centered before the assistant cal. This would be key before doing anything.

    Gimbal Test

That seems to be an alexmos v2.2. I am pretty sure you would not be able to upgrade to a newer version or it might brick it. But you can download the GUI and make adjustments if need be. When I messed with an f450, I made a platform to hang a similar gimbal from between the 2 front booms to...

    FPV what do I need

If you are new to all this - I might suggest heading over to the two retailers I mentioned above and checking out their packages. That way you'd have everything you need, except the gopro cable and a switcher. But they will have all that also.

    FPV what do I need

I'm not sure that you can tie into an iPad. I've never been able to figure out how to take advantage of an older model that would be perfect for this. So you'll probably need a monitor. You'll need a special cable for the gopro to iosd/VTX. Readymaderc, getfpv and several other places sell them...

DJI NAZA V2 with Turnigy 9x Transmitter - PROBLEMS & PROBLEMS

^^^+1. And making sure that the sub trims (the physical ones on the radio) are at center position before doing calibration?

    Gimbal Test

Most of the gimbals work on one of a few basic firmwares. Depending - yours could be alexmos, Martinez etc. You might be able to snoop around to find some answers. Do you have a link to the Amazon sale page? The weight, while lessening the flight time, may be working in your favor. Some...

    Gimbal Test

That's a pretty damn good first test - especially for a $50 gimbal. Make sure you always do the FC cal, regardless of whether there is a gimbal on there. Just safe practice. Do you know which firmware the gimbal is running? Do you have a program to adjust/save settings etc?
