    How to install led lights?

@Oceans Eleven is right, the one he linked is smaller. But I guess "overkill" is relative :) While the one linked is much smaller in size, it's also 8x more expensive than the ones I use, and only 6 grams lighter. So if you are looking for tiny, Oceans offers a good choice. If you are...

    Please help with shakey QAV250

If you plug this into the receiver directly ((D4R) - throttle channel, power the quad with battery, you'll have direct access to the throttle and motors only. It's how you would have calibrated the ESCs. If you calibrated differently - they are not calibrated at all :) See if the motors all...

    How to install led lights?

Best to play it safe then. They are cheap enough and come in handy for all sorts of things.

    How to install led lights?

Straight to the power distribution board? The worst that would happen is the lights start to smoke. That's the end of the lights :) Do you have a link to the ones you bought? Most would have a tolerance for a bit over 12v. But some don't.

Never be sorry for asking questions. That's what we are here for. Everyone was a noob at some point - and we all needed help! A squid is just a multi-wire harness (like the tentacles of a squid) ending in a single connector on the other end. The one I am referring to would have a single...

    Naza motor arming problem

I have a Taranis and both Naza M V2 and the XAircraft SuperX. I have had good luck with both.

    Naza motor arming problem

Ah. I've heard of it but never been there. @Bartman is from NJ, and I'm in Brooklyn. We will have to see about a meetup in NJ sometime for some MRF flying. Let us know how you make out with the radio settings.

    How to install led lights?

Of course! We are here to help :) Let us know how it goes. LEDs offer a real benefit to these craft - helps so much with orientation.

naza mv2 manual mode hover problems

If you are just a hair above 50% throttle - that sounds close enough. 50% is ideal - but many hover (in ATTI) at about 60%. Manual mode is constant stick inputs. There is no aid for leveling - so realize that each stick movement needs to be offset by an opposite stick movement to keep it...

    How to install led lights?

If the lights are rated at a hard 12v, your best bet is to install a cheap BUCK adjustable step down regulator. I haven't used this one - but this will give you an idea. This was fancier with a readout. I just buy the typical ones by the 10 pack...

    Naza motor arming problem

Welcome to MRF Mike! Where in NJ are you from??? First thing, have you done the stick calibration in Naza assistant? This is key to having the Naza and radio stick control in sync with each other. Make sure your radio has the sub-trims at their center position before doing this. Also, make...

naza mv2 manual mode hover problems

Are you talking 1 click above zero throttle (all the way down)? In manual mode the quad will be acting based directly on the overall setup, as opposed to the ATTI/GPS style that compensates for discrepancies and keeps the craft at hover when throttle is at 50% regardless of AUW. So if your...

    Can someone explain Mixing

Mixes are when you assign more than one function/channel to trigger from a single control surface/channel move. For instance, if you had a gimbal with yaw direction control on channel 9, and tilt direction control on channel 10 of your radio. You decide that you would like the gimbal to yaw a...

    How to install led lights?

It depends on the voltage that the LEDs can handle and the batteries you're running for the main flight power. Give us some more details and we will get you hooked up.

One thing that may be worth a try, before pouring more money into new FC/ESCs, and getting deeper down the rabbit hole, is solder up a servo squid - 1 into 4 (you may have this from calibrating the ESCs?). Hook up all ESC/motors (no props!) to it and plug it directly into the throttle channel...

I'm definitely into giving them a shot. I love the idea of being able to look outside the goggles. I tried the immersive type once and it scared the sh*t out of me :)

    Commercial UAV Insurance

Hey Rhiannon, Welcome to the forum. Hopefully more commercial pilots, and particularly those in the UK, will weigh in here. As an outsider to the commercial usas industry, but having paid for commercial business insurance for a few small businesses, the costs you mention don't seem horribly...

Help! Motors Won't Spin Now -- S500 Quad with RTFHawk

Maybe try plugging the ESC servo wire directly to throttle channel output of the radio (like you do when calibrating ESCs) to see if you're getting anything in that scenario?
