Quadcopter with autopilot and separate gps tracers to follow

Unfortunately I do t have any experience with MRs controlled by tablets/phones. The wifi/Bluetooth always seemed limited to me - not to mention the controls on a touch screen would freak me out :) Good luck. Let us know what you decide.

    Tarot 680 or 810

Welcome aboard! I would definitely suggest the 810 for that payload. I had a 680Pro, and while it was a cool MR, I think it would struggle with the weight. The 810 should have less flex with the larger booms. Also, I believe some of the components (motor mounts) are aluminum instead of the...

Quadcopter with autopilot and separate gps tracers to follow

Glad you found it! Looks pretty neat. But I'm not sure I heard them say that you could have it track the arm band and also be separately controlled by an iPhone to over-ride the control of the craft. Maybe I missed it?

    Taranis X9D Global Issue?

That seems beyond bizarre. Have they all worked regularly up to this point, or is this the first time turning them on in a while?

Drone Crashes at US Open Tennis Tournament

The teacher happened to work at the tech satellite school as well, which is an extra black eye. Can hear it now: "If the tech experts can't handle these things, who can?"

    Taranis X9D Global Issue?

Wow. No idea why this would be happening - but sub'd to see if you figure it out. Good luck!

    Quick Release A/V Gel Plate

The key is that the one you purchased has the gel. This I believe is meant to replace typical barrel style dampers. So you may need to figure out a way to attach the Infinity to this piece - in a way that takes advantage of the dampers. Let us know how it goes.

    Quick Release A/V Gel Plate

It's a really nice piece - and to be able to quick release is priceless (for me anyway).

    Quick Release A/V Gel Plate

You're talking about a build instruction for the frame itself? I'm not sure that Vulcan has one - but they are pretty good about getting bck to you - shoot them an email. I'm not sure if the gel plate is meant to be used with, or instead of a dampener plate. If you got the dampener plate with...

    Interesting new camera drone....

Sadly, I am the same way. One experience with kickstarter and I am off it for good. And it was only a $30 product! :)

    Interesting new camera drone....

Did that one come apart? I think that's the feature I like best. Pretty slick how it snaps apart and goes in the bag so small.

Cheerson Cx20 mode 1 compass calibration help

Have you downloaded the mission planner software and connected to the computer? Which APM firmware version is it running? The initial compass calibration for APM is done in the software. You can see the procedure HERE on the ArduPilot page.

Cheerson Cx20 mode 1 compass calibration help

Do you have the "zero" version or the one with the APM flight controller? The APM version would have been advertised as Open Source.

Quadcopter with autopilot and separate gps tracers to follow

The technology does exist for sure. The product called Solo Shot does exactly that - but with a base mounted to a tripod moving a camera to follow the "tracker." So no, you are not crazy. You are just suffering from that classic "I know I saw it, but now Google ate the link and it's gone...

    Fly Sky TH9X & F550 w/ Naza V2

Just about any radio will be compatible with the Naza, as long as you can assign/adjust outputs. The differences will mainly be the number of switches/knobs/sliders available and the receivers ability to handle those assigned channels. For the money, I most often recommend the Taranis (now the...

    Interesting new camera drone....

I think you're probably right about the quality - but this seemed to me to be More of an aerial point-n-shoot camera. If you were going to leave the MR at home for a hike (or motorcycle ride) to a gorgeous location, due to size, portability etc. This thing might be way to get some type of...

    Hi Y'all

IIRC, I did have 30A ESCs. If I did it again, I'd probably pad it by a bit more (maybe 40a) just to be safe. I was flying a single 8000mah for about 12 minutes and landing with a healthy amount of battery left. I think a dual 5A setup would go for quite a while. I get tired and distracted...

    Hi Y'all

Welcome aboard. Sounds like you're off to a good start (except for the lost MR!). Way to get back on the horse!!! I built a Tarot 680Pro using the sunnysky 3508 motors. Good setup and plenty of flight time. They're not the cheapest - but cheaper than a lot of the higher end motors. I've had...

    Quick Release A/V Gel Plate

I love the Vulcan frames, but for me, the accessories are over the top, price wise. While they use high quality gels, the same function can be accomplished with other products. It's basically a dampener plate. The instructions for the plate you linked can be found here...
