Unfortunately I do t have any experience with MRs controlled by tablets/phones. The wifi/Bluetooth always seemed limited to me - not to mention the controls on a touch screen would freak me out :) Good luck. Let us know what you decide.

The key is that the one you purchased has the gel. This I believe is meant to replace typical barrel style dampers. So you may need to figure out a way to attach the Infinity to this piece - in a way that takes advantage of the dampers. Let us know how it goes.

Did that one come apart? I think that's the feature I like best. Pretty slick how it snaps apart and goes in the bag so small.

Have you downloaded the mission planner software and connected to the computer? Which APM firmware version is it running? The initial compass calibration for APM is done in the software. You can see the procedure HERE on the ArduPilot page.

Do you have the "zero" version or the one with the APM flight controller? The APM version would have been advertised as Open Source.
