Dirk's claim isn't the only reason I ordered the Pletty 15-20's for use with 14-15inch props on my SkyJib 8 with AEROdrive 8..... Even the AXI4120/14 specs don't recommend 14 or 15 inch props. What gives with these people?

And my knees go weak again - the new Droidworx airframe

Dirk, You have some explaining to do! Care to comment about your FALSE ADVERTISING here? Germany and now the US are aware of your false claims that have collectively cost thousands of dollars in purchases and crash damages due to your marketing claims. What are you going to do to correct this?

Classic "FALSE ADVERTISEMENT" scam. International laws doesn't protect against that. But this can be reported to paypal and the BBB.

Amount:
€1,207.72 EUR <th...

    Pletternberg motors

Thanks Munch. I just PM'ed Pano-Dirk about this. We'll see what happens. I'd be happy with a motor exchange as long as they prove, with a video, that the new recommendation actually works as advertised. I want to see it perform with a simulated load, on a test stand, for a full flight time with...

That's what they said about the AEROdrive 8 as well and you see where that has led us too........ advance with caution!

This is my first Pletty experience. I will give them a little time to address this and react before I make the same statement. But, their response will determine my future opinion as they are supposed to be top notch and should prove so.

    SkyJib/AeroDrive 8 Crash Video

Thought I'd add a few pics of the damage. This also, sort of, shows my gimbal layout and wiring efforts. Only the 5D Mk2 and batteries were removed ASAP. I'd like to see the AEROdrive 8 replaced and a return/refund for the Pletty's at the very least from the dealer/manufacture...Sooner than...

    Pletternberg motors

Thanks again Munch. The info here is better than from the service techs whom have not followed up with there own email. So, in the mean time, I'll continue declining jobs for the SkyJib. 3 so far, and one was the History Chanel.

    Pletternberg motors

Wow, that is exactly what my machine did before crashing. Now I have a very expensive machine that is grounded with a broken speed controller, AV200/360 gimbal, retracts and motors that are questionable. I too based my configuration on the recommendations of the dealers and manufactures. My...

    SkyJib/AeroDrive 8 Crash Video

Thanks for the replies guys. I've been waiting to hear from AEROdron. It's a shame that I'm having to send AEROdron a second inquiry as to what's expected now. This is the most expensive controller out there, sold with NO manual or product support. It dies after only 12 minutes carrying a load...

What do you want from your Flight Control company??

Yeah Bart, I'm there with you. My MK red boards are far more reliable than the black ones. My Jib has crashed twice now due to the Black MK boards. The first crash, the pitch gyro failed and the Jib did a forward flip and crashed. It landed on it's feet but was enough force to collapse the...

What do you want from your Flight Control company??

The MikroKopter controllers have done this and a lot more since day one of commercial release. http://www.mikrokopter.de/ucwiki/FrontPage . For commercial use, the FAA is likely to require redundant systems and components. Something like this, http://www.micropilot.com/news-2010-nov-10.htm ...

    Picloc 3x setting experience etc.

Hey George, I think you are doing a great job here considering you're a one man producer. You mentioned earlier about your next version wizz kid black box. I'd like to offer a suggestion as an operator/tech of full size aerial systems since 1994. I'll send you a PM here if you're interested...

    Picloc 3x setting experience etc.

Mine does the same. I'm running a JR 11X with a R1221 receiver using the 5i inputs. Tilt is silky smooth but the pan has a little stepper motion until you reach a higher value. Then it smooths out.
