It's been a while since my orders were placed with various dealers for the components. So far none have delivered so it's not just your stuff Dirk. My shop is almost ready too.

That is indeed a nice setup. I'm studying it now and like it more and more. Hmmm, the partner has the DW 8 HL that needs a speed controller. We've been discussing using bullets on the speed controllers to allow easy field repairs and upgrades. Modular is the way to go.

This is real nice but what happens when any single component fails? Looks like you can't replace any of the individual controllers. This board cost about $1500 USD. Too bad they didn't stick with Holgers philosophy which allows replacement of individual controllers. This one has to be sent back...

Ok, so finally a new Power Distro Board is released....Buttttttttttt, What happens when something burns up on the Fr. 1'499.00 board? That's a lot of cash for something designed like this without the ability to replace individual speed controllers. Do you have to purchase another Fr. 1'499.00...

Pretty much the same as Dirks set up. I consider him the test pilot. I have a full suite of video gear too, including a 5D MK2, 7D, and other goodies from work. Between my partner and I, this will be our 6th multi rotor.

HeHe! Airframe ordered, Plettys ordered, Gimbal ordered, electronics on hand, what else... I know, a new workshop! 12ft X 24ft with a loft for storage. That should do it. Hopefully I can get the shop built before the stuff gets here.

Thanks Dirk. We look forward to seeing them in action. I'm curious if they will induce vibs on the multi rotor platform as they sometimes have on helis. The freq's are higher on the MultiRotor so I'd guess NOT...hope not. Do you have a stock Okto for size comparison?

Dude! That is just teasing. Would you include pics of the retracts, especially the clearance to the airframe? I'll send you an email for the Plettys. Have they finalized the design yet? Shaft length and prop mounting method? Is anyone producing a carbon 14" prop?

It's a bit strange that MK didn't add a "RAMP" to the throttle for once the MK arrives at the home position. You'd set a time period for the throttle to "ramp down to cut off". Then based on the minimum altitude, one could adjust the ramp time for a controlled descent. The micro helis like the...

Geoff wasted no time replying. He says the SJ8 is on order and should be available the first week of August. I'm on a preorder list! Price isn't confirmed yet but it's estimated at 1200 euros or about $1700 US. What that gets you isn't confirmed but I'd guess that is for the airframe only...

Well, let's see what Geoff has to say. At this point, I don't care where the SkyJib comes from. Maybe I can talk Dirk out of his SJ8.....
