    Good Sunday morning everyone!

I fired up the charger last night and had packs waiting in the morning. We just moved into a new house and today was the first time flying in the new neighborhood. I found a great park for sport flying with the CC quad. The Baltimore Ravens training facility is actually across the street, so I...

    DX8 and X650 question

i stand corrected. I have expo set up for 40% on the Aile & Elev with 18% on the Rud. All rate values are 100. Hope this helps. ;-)

    DX8 and X650 question

I'll have a look at my radio when i get home and give you my exact settings. For me, it made a ton of difference in how the craft flew. I also got increased performance from having a little extra weight on the craft (if you can believe that). I used 2 x 2200 mah batteries and the extra weight...

    XAircraft V2

Maybe I don't need to buy a WK-M after all... it appears that XAircraft is trying to build something of the same caliber. Not only do they have a new V2 model of the FC & AHRS, but they are now releasing a "Pro" version ( 1212-P ) that looks oddly enough like a WK-M. Check it out. It will be...

    DX8 and X650 question

I set my aleron & elevator to 30% and leave the rudder (yaw) alone. That's really personal preference though. Play with it some till it flys the way you like it.

I would also love to see some real world footage shot with this mount. Any word on getting something uploaded?

    XAircraft X650v Tech help please?

Damn, I bet I have the same problem. I haven't measured the actual booms by themselves (don't really feel like taking it all apart), but I did just measure my motor to motor distance last night and saw a pretty big difference in some. So what kind of drift problems are you seeing, John? Can...

    FPV with GoPro

I would not recommend using it in a gimbal if you are also using it for FPV. The view that is sent back to you will always be leveled out and it will be much more difficult to fly since you won't have a real feeling for what the copter is doing. Another downfall for using your GoPro for FPV is...

    Gunters new octocopter build

I've been thinking of trying it for sometime now. Maybe I'll give it a go this/next weekend. I can take just the top motors off of my x8 and try it that way. -Terry

    WooKong-H

Ahhh.. you are correct. I guess the H does stand for Heli. I was getting excited and hoping that there might be a new version of the M coming out soon. I would really like to be able to control an x8 and do camera stabilization, so I guess I was projecting my hopes onto that announcement. ;-)

    WooKong-H

I don't see any mention of a WK-H on that micro site. In the announcements it mentions it twice, both a WK-H & a WK-H Lite (non-gps version). You think that was just a typo, or is there really an all together different version coming out?

    WooKong-H

So I just noticed on the DJI site that they have some new products coming up. In total, they had 3 listed, but they all seem to revolve around an updated WooKong called WK-H. Anyone have any idea what they will be adding? It mentions auto-take off & landing, but I wonder what else will be in...

    Gunters new octocopter build

How would this change if you configured a craft to have the booms over the props, if any at all? I've seen some guys build out tricopters in this fashion and they seem to have had good results. It ends up looking more like a lawn mower than a multi-rotor, but if it works better who cares.

New Police Drone Near Houston Could Carry Weapons

Scary thought. I'm not surprised that TX would be the first state to do this (no offense to anyone from TX, just that your state loves it's guns!). I think of all the possible accidents that can happen with an RC craft and I would hate to have one with a gun strapped to it flying around my...

    XAircraft V2

So it seems that XAircraft have already released a new version of their flight controller and AHRS. I guess there really are problems with the EMI/RFI effecting how the GPS & compass works. Personally, I won't be making the upgrade anytime soon, if at all. I'm done jumping on the early adopters...

    Finally flying well

So after a couple of weeks of tweaking, I have my new XAircraft flying very well. It's been taking some great pictures also. :nevreness: After I got a few new pics that I wanted to post, I figured I would finally build that new website I'v been thinking about for a while now. Here is a...

    Show us your workshop.

Great thread idea, Gunter. I'm very curious to see everyone's space. My wife & I are moving at the end of the month because, among other things, the lack of work space here. We found a place w/a garage & right behind a school so now I'll have a place to fly and work on copters. Let's see those...

Hello from sunny and windy mile high Colorado

Hey Bob, welcome to the forum. I've seen you over at RCG before. Good job on getting your 650 working so well. I was just out your way last month and all I could think about was capturing some of that beautiful scenery on film. It really is gorgeous out there. I look forward to seeing some...
