Rendering with Adobe Premier, you've got to be kidding me!

You have got to have something set wrong on your export file type. Try exporting to H.264. I used to work in the TV industry and we used that format for all our bumps and commercials. Looks great and keeps the file size down... plus it's still HD quality. -Terry

XAircraft Proper esc configuration using Xaircraft FC

You can pull the pin out of the plug if you don't want to cut the cable. This will keep it ready and available if you need to convert it back later.

XAircraft Proper esc configuration using Xaircraft FC

Which FC are you using? If you have an XAircraft then I would say to follow Jeff's recommendation. Otherwise, you only need one. If you wanted to go with just your external, tap into the power source directly off of the battery line and then put a servo lead on the other end of the BEC (if it...

XAircraft X650 V8 built, now what?

Ended up getting it just as it's time for me to hit the sack. Entire night wasted running back and forth chasing windows issues. At least it's behind me now.

XAircraft X650 V8 built, now what?

Fail... no luck trying to get this software to work on an XP laptop. I hate to say it, but I absolutely despise Windows. There always seems to be a problem. That is why I'm an Apple developer. The thought of working on a windows machine everyday gave me nightmares! [/rant] Ok, so anyone have...

XAircraft X650 V8 built, now what?

Great... thanks. I'll be home in about an hour and I'll hopefully be finalizing the set up then. If all goes well, I have a small GoPro gimbal that I"m going to mount as well before heading to the country for a long weekend. Footage to follow if all goes as planned. -Terry

XAircraft X650 V8 built, now what?

Ok, sound good. TBH though, I haven't even connected the copter to the software yet. Anything special I need to know about that? I see absolutely nothing about in the manual, unless I somehow missed that part. ;-) Also, I guess that the calibration is done in the software?

XAircraft X650 V8 built, now what?

Hey gang, So I just picked up an X650 V8 kit and just completed the build this morning. I have only followed the directions in the instructions and nothing else. So far I have not done any testing as I just got the motors spinning this morning before work. I do know that they are at least...

XAircraft Balancing props for new XAircraft motors

Sorry, I didn't make that very clear. I meant to ask if your balancer mod would prevent you from using it with standard props. I still have another quad that I need to balance and I'm just trying to figure out if I will need to have a balancer for each type of prop I'm using. Thanks!

XAircraft Balancing props for new XAircraft motors

Does this prevent you from using it with standard props? I would hate to need to two different prop balancers.

XAircraft Balancing props for new XAircraft motors

Hey gang, So the new motors on the value series x650's have odd shaped hub for the prop. If you haven't seen it before, imagine a round hole with 2 parallel flat sides that make it somewhat oval. My question is, how are we supposed to balance the props with these weird shaped hubs? I use a...

Improving piloting skills, keeping orientation etc.

ovdt... go to this site and check out the flight school. It's set up for single rotor helis, but the same principles apply. If you follow the step by step that he puts together, you should be good to go in 10 days. Each day focus's on a different skill that you need to learn and it's a great way...

    Camera suggestions

So anyone have any experience with the Sony HX9V? Just saw some footage shot with one recently and it seemed pretty good. It does 1080 @ 60 fps which seems nice. I've got a Lumix GF2 and a GoPro now, but I'd like to have something in between them in terms of weight and size. Any insight from the...

    What would you build?

I didn't mean that the jury was still out on the quality of an Octo, but rather how they would react when losing a motor or prop. I personally don't have the experience with them, so I'm only going by what I have read around the interwebs. I would actually love to have an Octo, but those days...

    What would you build?

One advantage is having redundancy on your motors and props. At least in theory, if you are flying an x8 and one of your motors/props goes out, then you should still have enough lift from the remaining motor to land the craft safely. If you have a regular quad and lose a motor, you will dump...

    TriCopter Flipping Problem

I've never used the Wii board, but the theory is all the same. It seems like something is just backwards. Check in the GUI and see if there is a way to set up which way the board is mounted. It's something simple I'm sure.

    TriCopter Flipping Problem

Does it get off the ground at all? Sounds like you might have one of your motors spinning in the wrong direction, or have one wrong prop on. Do you have one of each on the front with the motors spinning in the proper order? (1 clockwise, 1 counter clockwise) If that is all good, then you your...
