    Anyone in Denver?

Hey gang, I'll be out in Denver, CO next week and I was wondering if there was anyone from the forum out that way. I'm coming out for a conference, but I'm bringing my quad with me for a little fun afterward. Let me know, I'm always up for meeting some new faces. -Terry

    I flew to 320 meters!

I read this and I can't wait to build a new machine with altitude & position hold. My current height record is 125 meters (just over 400 feet), but that was done all flying FPV with no holds of any type. Try descending from a height like that with no position hold.. that's some serious...

Building my new quad in a hurricane.

So, I have to admit, I'm in love with this new quad. To understand why it's important to know that the only multirotor experience I have is with my own tricopters that I have built over the last 10 months. I've never even seen another in real life. The tricopter went through many changes over...

Building my new quad in a hurricane.

Somehow just noticed these replies. Thanks for all the concern guys. We made it through without so much as a flicker of the lights. I was pretty surprised as we lose power on our block pretty often (3-4 times/year) and absolutely expected to be without then as well. I think the quad gods must...

Foxtech Hexacopter frame - anyone got a hands-on review?

Yup, it folds up great. Two of the arms fold to meet the other two and it becomes very long & skinny. That was the main reason I got it. I'm going to be doing some traveling for work and I wanted something that I could fold up and take with me. I'll be taking it to Denver with me in 2 weeks.

Foxtech Hexacopter frame - anyone got a hands-on review?

Don't get me wrong. I've completed the build of my quad and I love it for what it is, but I know better than to try and turn it into something that it's not. It is NOT a serious AP craft capable of hauling a heavy payload. It IS a super fun, very lightweight FPV quad that I can blast around the...

Foxtech Hexacopter frame - anyone got a hands-on review?

I have the quad version of the same frame. It's ok for a small sport flyer, but I would be careful dealing that that manufacturer. I got my "Version II" of the frame after waiting a couple weeks for a pre-order to come in. When it got here everything except the booms were made out of cheap ABS...

did you measure the widest part of that hub? I'm convinced you can fit other props on there.

    Wookong-M first flight

Hey guys... I feel like I'm getting to this Wookong-M discussion a little late. Can someone fill me in on the price & features of this package? I just googled it but didn't get much back. Thanks! BTW.. looks great Ken. I'll be watching this thread.

    Keeping the competition at bay.

Bart, that's probably the best reply you could have. The price of the copter is one thing, but the price to fly it as a professional is whole different ball game.

    RC gear saves the day

Good to hear you made it through ok, Ken. By some miracle, we never had as much as a flicker of the lights round our house. That's odd since we lose power very often and fully expected it to go out. We took precautions just in case, but luckily never needed them. I sat at home and worked on a...

Building my new quad in a hurricane.

Of course, the best time to start a new build is during a hurricane, right? I just hope the lights don't go out.. if they do I have headlamps. ;-) Details as they happen... I just wanted to post the first pic of the log. It's going to be a compact FPV / GoPro Quad. I'm trying to keep...

    Flying with Lipos

I was actually trying to find out what I need to do in order to prep my batteries to be safe in flight. I have seen fire proof bags that are supposed to be used, but I wasn't sure if it was mandatory. I thought of shipping them ahead of time, but then they are still going on a plane and I would...
