    XAircraft SuperX

Last night when coming down for a landing my indicator LED turned to solid yellow at about 10 feet above the ground for a second or two.

Most ridiculous things "drone" haters have said to you?

As fat as the neighbor lady is, the last thing I want to do is "spy" on her naked sunbathing...

Yes VERY important. Solved most of my build hurdles.

Most ridiculous things "drone" haters have said to you?

The paranoia of "drones" is so unreasonable. Most of us are hobbyists or creative types who enjoy building and engineering these crafts as much as we do flying them. Personally, I'm not in this to invade someone's privacy or "spy" on them. I'm in this to put a camera in places which can...

    XAircraft SuperX on heavy lifter

Great thanks for all the advice. I have multiple voltages I can tap into, from 22.2 direct from the 6S to 12v to 5v. FPV and more batteries hopefully soon.

    XAircraft SuperX on heavy lifter

Here's an FPV TX/RX combo from getfpv (yes I am all for supporting USA dealers). Comes with two mushroom antenna. I will try my hardest to buy USA first, then go China if needed. http://goo.gl/SCiOoN Or should I just double it up to 1200mw http://goo.gl/PUJrnl So just to be clear the whole...

    XAircraft SuperX on heavy lifter

Ok folks time for a little change of direction on my part for this thread. As I knock on wood I'll say my T960 is about 96% where I want it, other than I need to lower my gimbal a bit to get the arms out of the picture. Suggestions on spacers welcomed. NOW it is time for me to look at getting...

What say you all: Red arms forward and white arms aft? Or the opposite?

I have that switch installed as a matter of fact. So I can fly in "stealth" mode as I call it or light it up with the flick of a switch on my TX.

What say you all: Red arms forward and white arms aft? Or the opposite?

Don't know what your build will be like, but consider running the LED wire during the build. My T960 has tubes and running the wires post build was a PITA.

What say you all: Red arms forward and white arms aft? Or the opposite?

I did this for orientation purposes. This black bird is completely funky when in a distance. Sometimes it even looks like it is listing 45 degrees when flying LOS. The lights resolve the orientation issues (and look cool).

XAircraft Where should I mount the SuperX?!

Brings up a good question which is what's the best way to test failsafe mode? I'm a little scared to try it.

I'm not running simonk. I've heard that it isn't a good idea for pancake motors like mine, so I didn't bother. Copter flies great. I'm sure about everyone out there is much better educated than me on that subject though.

fltundra I looked at your logs. Nice for me to have a frame of reference. Are you satisfied with your vibe levels? Mine are comparable it would seem, and my video quality seems good at this time (other than my gimbal is rolling a few degrees).

I don't know how high the SX gain can go in the software. I'm around 14 pounds on a 960 hexa and they're very good at 1.2.

    LIPO voltages

Right. Not 3.60, but as soon as it gets to 3.69 or 3.6X. I ran it down last night to 3.70 and after powering off the copter the voltages jumped back up to 3.75-3.8 area.

XAircraft Where should I mount the SuperX?!

Don't see any reason why not. There isn't an accelerometer/gyro or anything in the I/O to my knowledge.
