Wow, where's the help when someone needs it

Milobianco‎,

Last night i discovered someone who has asked for help with his DJI Wookong M from two weeks ago with nearly 200 hits and no reply. I was under the impression that this forum was full of good guy waiting to help anyone in need, not a good start for Milobianco who's patience nearly got on top of him.
I spent nearly two hours by Skype with the guy going through the whole setup of his, and I made his day, the guy was over the moon. I'm no expert myself as there is only so much I have learned myself through tipps from you good guys out there, and I'm sure Milobianco would be very happy if and when he needs anymore help from us on here you could all chip in.

Peace,

Rob

Rob, I am happy you could help Milobianco. Sometimes when looking at a post it is hard to discern what is necessary and it gets overlooked. You took the initiative and contacted him when we did not respond. You did great and shame on us for not catching it.

Thanks for that Ed, much appreciated for your response, and yes its very hard sometimes when browsing the forum to miss something out and can get overlooked especially for me as I'm on a learning curve to all this multirotor stuff, and don't want to reply to something I don't fully know about, as on this occasion I took it up on myself to see if I could be of any help, I was glad to help him, The guy is sound, you wouldn't believe how happy he was, and I hope he will join in and share his experience with us all in the future.

Rob sometimes posts are easily missed and some of the members on the site that could help are not going to be on 24/7 so a post could vanish from first page.
I must confess I dont go deeper than first page when browsing this forum .
But as others said , good on you for helping him out and glad that after all the hours on the phone where I have helped you out , you are now keen to share what you have learnt and help others .

Thanks for all your supports guys, it's a nice feeling when you get appreciated, and Geoff, yes we have spent alot of time chatting on the phone and having lunch together, Chips and cheese and onion pie coming very soon for my next project. It's great help to take advice from someone who knows what they are talking about, without just getting your pants down, and as you know yourself I'll do anything in return even if its fixing Range Rover sports which is nothing to do with multirotors. Like I've always said to anyone "scratch my back and i'll scratch yours"

Bart,
As goes for renewing my site membership, it is very kind of you, I'll put you on my xmas list. This week I was at my local garage in Crewe, when out of the blue there was an unexpected visitor prowling through the town, luckely my quad was resting in my van after a little shoot few hours ago, and guess what? appart from trying to fly underneath an umbrella coz it was gusty and lashing it down,

One of the papz took a fancy to the quad, and the story doesn't end there. Thats why it's only a short clip. I guess it's not just this site where i'm getting noticed lol.

Sometimes stuff gets lost.. the active thread tab is usually the one we all go for when we first log on.. if its a busy day the odd shout for help gets pushed down the list to another page. I am guilty of not looking beyond the first page but sometimes I guess its so busy on here that while I sleep threads are started and get moved down the list so when I check in the next morning there is the possibility, like this one its moved so far down its not on the current page. This whole forum is about sharing and helping.. AIRCONEROB picked this up and in the great spirit of this forum did what any good member would have done seeing the original post and realising help was needed acted and went to the next level of help by using skype. Hats off.

BUT as I said this is a great forum and multi - member help is what its all about.. for those who dont get an immediate response please dont get disheartened.. some time is just a matter of timing. My Message box is always open and I will respond as soon as I get the message if anyone feels neglected.

The 200 hundred views may be form members with no knowledge of the problems and are just interested in the situation..

I am sure if anyone viewing the thread could have helped they would have..
This is a Global community.. ITS JUST GREAT that it just works 99% of the time.

Thanks Airconrob for stepping up

Nope.. guess anything newer than Dark Side of the Moon is beyond me! looks like a Dorris with to much money or cred to me and with a really masculine head,, bazzzar!

I know I would be of little help! I have a NAZA F450 with a FatShark goggles and camera and transmitter. And they have been in the boxes now for 2 months unassembled!. Thats alot of money for me doing nothing. The problem I am having is I have to save up the $123.53 fee the local electronic shop wants from me to do the soldering work on the power board. I was checking and it looks like I will have enough saved by June 3d 2012. I cant wait to share the fun with ya all!. I did however test the Fat Sharks out by spying on my wife in the shower!. The Fat Sharks work GREAT! http://

Well...getting back to the original subject (sort of)......

If anyone is familiar with Spektrum DX7 tx's, AR7610 rcvr's, and the WKM setup......I could REALLY use some assistance.

PM here ...or, better yet, mail at simontemplar@mac.com

thanks,

....sT
