Just flat heavy, flew it with 9" Graups, maybe they are a lil' tiny for the 2 kg AUW.
There is some little vibration also, have to figure out.
Will mount 10`Graups tomorrow and then fly above some real life location

5000mah give me to much weight out back, although I didn't have gopro or fpv gear on.
I just ordered some 3000mah to try.

Yes, still on the 2216 900's but i ned more Power, specially when i hike up in the mountains.
Just wondering wich bigger Motors will fit to the DJI Arms ? Afaik the 2814 will not?

Mounted the 10" Graups and added a fresh 4000mah 4s Lipo: Flies sweet, lots of punch, it was like flying with the gopro and 9" Graups mounted.... Motors, ESC`s and Lipos was at ambient Temp. Those 900 KV`s are beasts, really!

I don't hesitate to use two of the four bolts...... all of mine have been like that since february. Trappy was testing through motors using 2 bolts alot. i've crashed a few times, never lost a motor, never had anything weird happen other than too much power related weird

Ah very nice puts some of the big birds in question :) have to watch it on a big screen but gets me tempted to get a CX for the small ones !

Hi Guys just ordered my TBS discovery after a bad crach on my current quad.

I'm after motor suggestions. I'm currently running 3s 3000 packs so i woul like some motors that would run weel with these and 10" props.
I'd also like them to be able to run 4s so i can upgrade in the future.

My setup ise pretty standard fpv - naza - gps osd and gopro.

looks pretty good. when you get fff that motor will make her wiggle..... everything over 250 watt seems to from what i've tried

I have 10" Graups (have been talking to Kloner) and was going to get the 800 instead of 900KVs as according to ECalc running 10" on the 900 2216 means they can go bang? Are you saying they should be OK? ECalc shows about 240W per motor at full speed and the motors are rated at 210W each for a TM2216-900.

All this motor stuff is confusing!!! I was ready to just buy the 2216-800 and use 10" on 2KG AUW but from what you are saying it looks like it won't have enough power anyway, but then moving to 900KV means the motors are being put under too much stress according to ECalc! Argh, what is right haha.

Totality, I had 5 FPV Flights right now with this setup:
Disco AUW 2110g
TM2216 900KV
10" Graups
30A DJI Optos
4000mah 4s

The Disco hovers at 50% Throttle, at WOT you`ll see an impressing ascent. Also after 7 minutes Flights alle the components where at ambient Temp.
With the added Weight and the 10" Graups the Disco flies like the 1600g Disco with the 9" Graups, the only difference i see is descending in M , that will be a lot faster :)
Recover from fast descends? No problem so far, really.
That Setup flies so sweet and easy that i'll give a try to add the Wide Angle Lens to the CX (another 200g)

So, go with the 2216 900s and your Disco will become a Killer Machine :)

Sounds good. How do you find the stability with 10" compared to the 9"? I was going to buy some 9" to replace the 10" as a test, so would be interested to know. If you find 10" better then saves me money :)

The 2216 900kv flies well and stable with the 9" if the AUW is around 1600-1700g. With Auw around 2kg and more you need the 10" Graups to lift the added weight well. With the 9" you'll hover at 60% Throttle, with the 10" at 50%. In Terms of stability i see no big difference, maybe the "heavy" Disco is even more stable with the 10" compared to the 9"
